Q: Is this the new version?

New World Staff sells the latest version of the Pica-Dry.

Q: can this fit into the holes on an inca rule?

I will say no way. I have an Incra rule and I need 0.5mm graphite to fit in the holes. My 7mm doesn't even fit and these are over 2mm.

Q: Does this work on aluminum?

It marks the same as any lead pencil. You would have better luck getting the colored inserts/leads they will work better. Still not as good as a marker. Pica 4040 Dry Deep Hole Marker Set Water Jet Resistant, Refill Waterproof/Permanent/Blue/White/Green Good Luck!

Q: Can you write on paper with them? Can a mark be erased with an eraser
