I purchased this power block to replace a heavier / larger 16000mAH power block. I'm very impressed with its form factor (rounded edges) and compact size, all hiding a powerful USB charger with intelligent charging ports.Besides its power capabilities, the fact that it can be quickly recharged and ready to go more quickly, was a big selling point for me.While I know that other reviews fuss that it does Not include a charging wall adapter, I understand that Anker assumes with this product purchase, that you most likely already have several of them anyhow. It should be noted that if you do intend to purchase this power block, go ahead and order a multiport wall adapter with high wattage output [less than $20], most of which now offer intelligent port control... better yet, get a newer Anker wall adapter that offer power in compact form factor. There is no Power On/off switch on these units; only a battery level indicator for stored energy level. Simply plug into the USB and the smart ports will detect the connected device and charge it based on the device needs. When charging is complete, the power block will stop charging and not over-charge the connected device...sweet!The only thing I dislike a bit is the Micro USB ports used to recharge the block. I assume their design intent was to keep it very compact, but I'd wish the mfg. would get away from micro and move to Type-C ports [as I would accept the size trade off], besides afer awhile; those micro USB ports start to wear out.Another thing to note; when you push in your USB plug into the block, be sure that its seatted 'All the Way', not at the initial resistance. The power block indicators will light up but that will not indicate that the port is "truly" charging. Have the device side connected first, then plug into the power block... as the intelligent ports will detect the device charging needs THEN begin charging. Check your device to see if it shows the charging 'lightning-bolt'... if not unplug from power block, the re-plug back into the port - fully seating the USB plug. Charging should begin. That's it! I purchased a separate travel case for storage of block/cords/ wall adapter, but I use the nice little padded mesh bag for daily use and to keep the Anker Power block protected. Great purchase and benefit. Thank you Anker.P.S. Anker portable speakers are also amazing little power houses too.

Amazing.
I've had it for a couple years now, and it works so well. It does take a while to charge up, but it holds A LOT of charge, and powers your phone up quickly. It is pretty heavy, but it fits in my purse and pocket, so convenience is a plus with this.

works as advertised. heavier than expected, WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD
Original review, Sept 2022:The only thing about this i don't like is that it is about twice as heavy as my phone.Otherwise, it works just fine.____________July 2024The weight is deceptive. It feels heavy when you first get it b/c it's not that big, but I hike and walk long distances and chat or listen to books and so I tend to run out of juice on my phone... so i got into the habit of putting it in my trouser pocket and connecting it to the phone and I really don't notice the weight anymore. This thing can charge multiple devices multiple times. Many times I forget to charge it... and even after several charges and/or running a device on it as I use it for extended periods away from electrical outlets, it still has juice. I've NEVER actually run out of juice.I don't mind that it doesn't have USB C, but if this is a concern of yours, this doesn't have USB C -- but it holds a charge so long and charges so much off a full charge that you won't care. It's reliable... and the capacity is high. It allegedly takes 7 hours to charge if you use both cables but I don't think I've come close to running it all the way down as it never takes that long to fully charge.I never leave home without it. It's either in my bag or in my pocket.More than worth the money. It doesn't heat up at all. Not when charging. Not when in use.10 stars!

I own several Anker portable chargers, including one of their original, glossy white 15000 milliamp hour battery packs which is still in pristine shape. I used them for a variety of things including a 5 volt source for portable lighting and recharging needs when I am out stargazing in the middle of the desert without any alternate power sources nearby. The fit & finish of their products are excellent, much attention is paid to detail on their products. They have always worked well for me, until that is I recently bought the 26800 Powercore. When I received it, the item was securely packaged and well-protected. All the accessories were neatly bundled and stored in the Box. The battery pack showed 75%, and I proceeded to charge my phone and two tablets. The storage capacity on this is excellent, at least that part I have been able to use so far. The problem is, once I drained the power core and tried to recharge it, the indicator lights stop at the halfway mark and just flash without proceeding to show a full battery. I tried draining it a second time, and then recharging it again but to no avail. Putting a meter on the cables, I show that when it gets to the halfway mark it stops drawing any current whatsoever. I don't understand why and I'm not sure if there is a reset button or a way to reset the unit at all. I have tried alternate Chargers and cables with the same result. This must be a defective unit. I'm hoping this is just a fluke because it's a new battery pack and might need to be broken in. All my experiences with this company in the past have been excellent in their product quality and customer service so I'm hoping this time will be no different. I will update this review once I get this problem sorted out either way.*UPDATE 12/20**I originally rated this item at one star due to a problem with it not recharging past the halfway mark. Since the review and my contact from Anker,, I have changed it to five stars.*This update is About a Week overdue, so I apologize. Anker contacted me a few days after my original review to help me troubleshoot the problem. In short order, they surmised that the unit was defective, as is to be expected with any company producing the number and volume of products that they do.They immediately shipped out a replacement, which I received very quickly. I had to use the unit to charge my phone and tablet until it was depleted, then recharged it and depleted it again. Both the slow charge and dual Port Quick Charge work flawlessly and as advertised. The wonderful detail I love about this particular item is the option to use both input ports to completely recharge the item in just over 6 hours which is quite impressive for a portable recharger of this size and capacity.Anker is one of the few companies producing the range of products that they do, with the intrinsic detail-oriented customer service that they manage to provide. I would definitely recommend this company and their products for any item they make which might fit your needs. Thank you very very much!
