Great fort!
I actually bought this for my 2 large dogs! I left off the playhouse structure and used the pieces to complete the enclosure at the top. My dogs love it and use it as a lookout tower with the lower level shaded and off the ground. For normal families, this would be a great play structure as intended. It does take all day to build. Many parts. But the instructions are clear and the parts are all included.

Great playhouse!
First, this took forever to build. We had four grown adults and it still took us about 10 hours split over two days.Second, if you don’t have one, borrow or buy a good hammer drill. We borrowed my dads Milwaukee. Our little Ryobi couldn’t handle the build.Third, download the BILT app. The instructions that come in the package SUCK.Overall, great quality. I had to test the structure and I’m 170 lbs. It held me no problem. We added a wave slide that we also purchased from Amazon. We also decided not to add the door and turned the handles to the inside so my son could grip them when he slides down. The delivery was early and the person was very polite and helpful. The stairs are perfect for our young son. However, the windows on the sides have no railing to stop a child from falling out of them. That part was too dangerous for me so I went to Lowe’s and got some garden fencing. I cut it to size and drilled it on either window. This way my son won’t fall out of it either by accident or on purpose.I’d buy this item again.

kids love it, had some minor difficulty putting it together
I bought this for my grandkids (ages 6 and 8) when they moved from their condo to a new house with a yard. They love it and cannot stop playing in it. It has a fake sink and stove so they made up restaurant signs and menus to pretend it is a restaurant. They hand plastic plates of plastic food out the window. They eat their own real lunch sitting on the bench inside and the floor. It took two of us all day (about 12 hours) to put it together. We did have a couple of minor problems but it went together fairly easily following the detailed instructions. The most significant issue was the stair stringers are made of two pieces each, a straight piece and a notched piece that were screwed together at the factory. I do not know whether it is a manufacturing issue or a design issue but the screws holding the pieces together were exactly where the holes in the steps for screwing the steps to the stringer. This caused a bit of a delay because we did not know if we did something wrong so we scoured the directions to verify our work to that point. In the end we just drilled new holes in the steps and kick boards so they would not be obstructed by the stringer screws. It is still sturdy and not seriously noticeable and the kids do not care at all.

It is "meh" but the kids like it.
My wife and I purchased this unit for our daughters to play in as a compromise to me not taking 16 years to build a play house from scratch. We decided on this unit based on some of the previous reviews, the general aesthetic and claimed quality of the unit from other purchasers. The Pros:The instructions were relatively clear and straight forward. I found that I was easily able to follow the step-by-step guide provided by the manufacturer. The unit looks as advertised in the photos and overall the build experience went smoothly minus a few bumps which caused tons of frustration which will be outlined below. The kids like it. Let's face it, I'm not the one that's going to be out there playing on it and my daughters both love it so far so at least that saves it from receiving a lower grade than 3 stars.Hardware was decent. It was nice that the required Torx bits came in both L-handle and drill driver versions to make assembly quicker. I have my own set of impact bits for my driver so I didn't need to use them for the most part, but it was really nice they were included (especially the driver bits as that was a surprise). I found that aside from a pack of screws mentioned below everything else was present and clearly labeled so I was not confused as to which pieces to use when. Many of the packages came with an extra piece as well in case one was lost or damaged along the way.The Cons:Material choice. The Chinese Cedar used for this design is not nearly as strong as a Western Red Cedar that you would get from a lumber supplier nor the treated lumber that I could buy from a local big box store to construct a solution from scratch. I am a heavier dad at 270+ and I was very nervous being on the structure at times during assembly. Luckily my daughters and wife are healthy weights and I don't fret about them being on there together. If I were building this from scratch, the base would have been constructed out of 2" material instead of the measly 1/2" that it feels like the manufacturer went with. The boards themselves seem sturdy enough for kids, but if we had 4 or 5 kids on there, it might get a little worrisome. I will probably be doing some modifications in the future.Check your parts inventory before assembly!! I have NEVER had an assemble-yourself product from any other manufacturer which had missing/incorrect parts included in the box. The website is easy enough to get to and register your product to request missing/damaged parts, but I had to do this three times over the course of the build. For the small house on the platform I was sent two right-handed pieces for the front instead of a right and a left. The same thing also happened with the saloon doors. I was also missing a bag of #8 x 1-1/2 screws which I luckily had some galvanized wood screws to substitute. I had to make multiple requests to the manufacturer through their website https://service.backyarddiscovery.com in order to get the correct parts for the unit, but the delays were infuriating as I was expecting assembly to be completed rather quickly over the course of a weekend and instead the unit is still not 100% completed as I only just receive the final piece after weeks of waiting and wondering if customer service was actually even doing anything with my requests. As someone who prefers to design/build my own solutions for projects around the house, I really wanted to build from scratch to have a playhouse for my daughters. I compromised with my spouse as building projects from scratch can take a while. I sure do wish I would have just scratch-built this solution instead.
