My search for an inexpensive, lightweight "watering" hose found this. Yes, I know this is an air hose, but I figure if it can withstand the air pressure + the oil & water that a compressor pushes thru these hoses, what's a little water at 80 psi?The pros:+ Low cost of $9.99 with Amazon free shipping. I see this hose is going for $8.99 now, an even a better deal!+ Pretty flexible.+ Nice blue color.+ The brass 1/4" NPT male fittings look to be solidly crimped on.+ Advertised - Reinforced PVC hose.+ Advertised - Oil & abrasion resistant.+ Advertised - 3/8" x 25' long.+ Advertised - Working pressure of 200 PSI. ◄ The hose I received is labeled 300 PSI working pressure.+ Advertised - Brass 1/4" NPT male fitting at each end.+ Advertised - One year warranty.The cons:- No fittings included, other than what's crimped on, you have to provide your own.- Made in China. ◄ Not entirely a bad thing, but some may prefer made in USA.Closing remarks:▪ With the correct fittings, this low cost air hose can be used as a light weight watering hose. :)▪ This air hose construction is reinforced PVC with brass 1/4" NPT male fittings, so nothing to rust.▪ Odds are good the brass fitting on this hose are NOT lead free, so the water passing thru this lightweight water hose should not be used for potable water.► Update - May 19, 2016▪ I used this lightweight water hose today & I have to say it exceeded my expectations! It was noticeably lighter, but the water flow appeared to be as it was when I was using a standard 1/2" garden hose. :)▪ The plan now is to make another lightweight watering hose in a 50' length. The holdup is the cost of the 2 brass fittings, which have doubled in price! :(► Update - June 23, 2016▪ I just made another "lightweight" watering hose using a 50' hose this time. I really like the watering hose I previously made with a 25' hose & I've been waiting for the 1/4" NPT female to 3/4" GHT (garden hose thread) to drop back to a reasonable price. They did & now I have a 50' "lightweight" watering hose for my backyard raised bed garden!▪ The water flow is slightly less, but not an issue for my use. The reduced weight of the hose is VERY noticeable, as is the maneuverability of the smaller diameter hose!► Update - June 8, 2018▪ I decided to buy another 25' hose, again to be used as a water hose. This hose was slightly different then the previous hoses I bought. It's much softer & very flexible. Even better, this one cost $7.99 with free Amazon shipping!The attached pictures show my finished lightweight watering hose. I used two 1/4" NPT female to 3/4" GHT (garden hose thread) male brass fittings & added quick connect hose fittings.The black heat shrink tubing is used to cover the brass & to provide a bit more hose to fitting strain relief... plus it looks better! :)

I bought a compressor off Amazon which listed NO ACCESSORIES, so I got this hose to go with it. To my surprise, when the compressor arrived, it had a 25' coil hose! The hose that came with the compressor was thin plastic and only rated to 200 PSI, whereas the Campbell Hausfeld hose was rated 300 PSI. As I don't really care for coil hoses anyway, I was glad I had ordered this hose. The hose is very flexible and well-made. I holds air with no leaks, just like it's supposed to. With all due respect to the customer that thought air hoses should come with connectors: they don't. You have to buy the connectors yourself, no matter what hose you buy, and this one is no different. However, the hose feels a little sticky to me, like the plastic is just a little too soft, and that makes me worry about the long term durability of the product. So for that reason, I'm giving it only four stars. Great hose for the price, but not perfect.

It was perfect in every way. I knew the name and the price is fair for this 50 foot model.I hated the loud pancake air compressor sitting on the top of one of those multi levelplastic shelving units in the garage. It was loud and I had to stand on my tip toes to reachthe on/off switch. It was time, time to do something about this and I had an idea in mindfor many months. I mounted this reel using three Tapcon screws I had in a parts bin. Theunit came with three galvanized screws but without anchors. I tossed the pack into my partsbin for some other project. I then mounted an electrical box on the wall with a toggle switchand accessory double socket and running the Romex wiring up into the attic to another electricalbox and wired a double receptacle to that. In the middle of the wiring I mounted a thirdelectrical box to connect a wire with a plug that I can plug and unplug from an outlet nearby.Once I had everything connected and air compressor up in the attic and all set up, I was ableto make a test with a flip of the switch after plugging in the power plug to the nearby socket.It all works perfectly as planned. I can barely hear the compressor running up overhead in the attic.

Had everything I needed to go with my new Campbell Hausfeld 8 gallon hotdog compressor.

It has served well. If I know I need to use it in cold conditions take some planning ahead.

Bought this because the price was great. The material is not flexible enough for me to use it directly on a tool. I will be stalling it with clips to supply air to and outlet. For a DIY guy this would be an excellent hose, but in my shop I use a lot of air powered tools and think the other brands of Hybrid hose will do a better job attached to the hand tools. This is still a great buy.

The hose was a bit smaller then I expected, that was good because I didn't want a big footprint anyway. It's bright blue so you can see it around the shop or in the yard. The hose appears to be very flexible so it has a great feel when moving around in shop or home. Other reviews says it handles cold well and doesn't stiffen up like some hoses, this appears to be true because it has been very cold here and it came right out of the box flexible and NOT so ready to use. Before using the hose you must purchase the male and female ends for the hose. To the sellers defense - the pictures show the hose without the attachments. Only because the hose should come with the connectors with all due respect, I will give what would be five stars only three. outside the quick-release connectors this is a five star product for sure.
