Truly excellent
I rarely write reviews but felt compelled for this one. It’s delicious and versatile. It’s not super spicy, but has enough of a kick to be noticeable. This is good though, because it increases its versatility. It can be used on almost everything. Most commonly for me are salads, rice, vegetables, chicken, and wraps. But honestly the uses are probably almost endless. It still gets 5 stars but my only complaint is the bottle - the squirt lid is fine (just a classic sauce twist top bottle), but I wish the opening were a little larger. There are some bits of (probably) peppers or other vegetables, which is why it needs to be shaken, but when squirting the sauce out it often gets clogged, which is annoying. Easy enough to deal with, but a small improvement here would make it absolutely perfect. It’s also a bit expensive for what it is, but I’ll still be buying more. Highly recommended.

Spicy, but not too spicy. Just right
Very tasty spicy teriyaki sauce. I add it to my to my tofu and vegetables after cooking them. Makes the usual bland taste of tofu and vegetables much more enjoyable.

Bachans Japanese YUZU bbq sauce
I recently saw a cooking segiment on Good Morning America featuring this brand and immediately went to purchase all three - Original, Yuzu and hot and spicy. If you have not tried this brand and like the japanese bbq style sauce (better than teriyaki) you must order one each of these for yourself - just once and taste. You can use as marinade, dip or drizzle. And that is the solid truth! I tried it expecting good, but was blown away by exceptional. No, I am NOT on their payroll - but would be proud to be! I am hooked. Will be purchasing this brand only when I need an asian style sauce. Period. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. I never accept any discounts that are not available to ALL shoppers. My reviews reflect my own personal experience with each product I review - fully and honestly without exception.

Salty-Sweet, Gingery, Thin.
Ginger overtones have made for an interesting change from other pungent herb flavors like rosemary or oregano that are usually prevalent in the BBQ sauces I use. This also has a slight tangy after taste, which is again interesting given it isn't tangy in general. It's mostly Savory with a little sweet backing it up.I would say that the thinness and lack of distinguishable chunks of anything in it makes it not a glazing sauce as it will bead right off of hot meat. Rather this is a wet BBQ sauce. Meaning you grill to the point of dry crispy outsides, then use this stuff to rehydrate the outside during the sweat/stand time. That is of course unless one is using it as a main ingredient in a marinade or to thin down a thicker sweeter sauce to preference (an adjuster of sorts). Or even using it as a dipping bbq sauce. Which are all good options.I have pleasantly surprised quite a few people with it. I would say that it goes better with chicken than with pork (having tried it on both but not on beef or fish yet). I use it mostly with drumsticks (just because drumsticks are my favorite). I could see adding some heat to it and using it for hot wings.

Bachans hot and spicy japanese barbecue sauce
Bachans hot and spicy japanese barbecue sauce - I saw this in on cooking segment on Good Morning America. Oh boy. This stuff is AWESOME. Can be used as a marinade, dip or topping. It's not SUPER spicy - but flavor is amazing. Sometimes these sauces can be salty - this is the perfect balance of salt and flavor. I purchased the other two flavors after trying this one. Not available locally for me, but I plan on keeping it on hand because it's so tasty!

Love the Yuzu flavor!
The Yuzu citrus flavor really shines and makes this an excellent marinade as well as a sauce. Warning: this is a JAPANESE BBQ sauce! It's much thinner than western BBQ sauces. So don't expect a thick sauce, you'll be disappointed.

Not very yuzu, and very runny.
Let me start off by saying this wasn’t a bad, but I was expecting it to be more yuzu forward and it’s not. It’s also watery for a BBQ sauce.
