Dora: An Analysis of a Case of Hysteria (Collected Papers of Sigmund Freud)

what can I say, it's Freud!
He's wordy, difficult to read at times, and seems to think of women as hysterical children, but when Freud's theories and analysis is more deeply studied, one is able to appreciate his brilliance and insight. His work is revolutionary and remains a cornerstone of modern therapy. "Dora" is a deeply affecting case study about a sad young woman who is caught between the needs of her father, her mother, her father's lover, and the older man who covets her. The study provides valuable insight into why teenagers living in tumultuous homes develop attachment problems and risky behavior. It's definitely worth reading.

Fascinating stories about human nature.
Had to read these case stories for a class. Very interesting and easy to follow. Would recommend to any adult.

Classic title, but must be okay with possible writing in book.
Although I won’t return it as it was inexpensive, there was writing throughout the book and sticky notes sticking out throughout as well.

Poor Dora
Amazing how such a brilliant theorist could have been so jammed up by patriarchal and bourgeois thoughts. a must read to understand the limits of analysis at that time, Poor Dora.

I don't like Freud
Awful book! It's very hard to read and understand. He doesn't make any sense. His methods are extremely outdated. Sorry

Freud's Dora
This study was for a requirement for a course I am taking. The ordering procedure went very well. This study was interesting to read, but its current application left many difficult impressions.

Amazing.
Great book. Freud was the best at case presentation. He really knew how to walk you through his process and interpretation. He makes his cases come alive.

Not impressed!
The seller said the condition of the book is new, yet there were pages that were folded. The front cover was a bit crushed.
