We bought this box to hold our remotes and keep them safe from the dog! And bonus…I get to decorate the box! Perfect!

I needed an inexpensive but strong little wooden box to use as a prop for my short film. This was a planned creepy short film, involving a woman who discovers a mysterious lloking box on the street, brings it home, discovers carvings on the bottom of the box, turns out it's a haunted box, she disregards the foreboding instructions and of course, since it's a horror shot film, all does not end well...As a prop, this box was perfect for this: I was able to paint it all in black and then 'distress' it a bit with some sandpaper and add carvings, all in order to get the obligatory creepy look. Worked out very well. For anyone planning to do some arts and crafts with it, I'd definitely recommend it. Actually looks very nice out of the box, with little metal 'clasps', ready to paint in any bright colors you wish. Or just use as is.

This is a great size for pencils and pens. It’s a good depth. Its clasp is secure. I will say when you get it, take a dry brush to dish off any wood shavings before painting. I didn’t notice the dust shavings on the inside until I already painted the outside. This made it hard to dust.

These little boxes are simple, but we'll constructed with no imperfections. Very good pricing. I have zero complaints.

I used this box as the frame for an upholstered box I made for my son to keep a couple of his Dungeons and Dragons decks in. It was just what I was looking for!
