I have struggled with seborrheic dermatitis (malassezia) off and on my whole life. For several years in my 20s, I went the "no poo" route and made my own mixture of apple cider vinegar and essential oils and it completely stopped the problem for years. I also credit therapy/recovery (healing my mind), and a plant-based diet (healing my body) with helping to clear things up -- everything is connected! In the pandemic, I got extremely stressed and depressed and went through a couple years of intense grief. My dermatitis came back with a vengeance, this time mainly around the back of my head/neck and also spreading down my neck and even into my ears! I tried everything, then found this company DERMAZEN which was a game changer for me. I have all of their products and it really helps a lot. I also discovered that using Aveeno lotion on the affected areas of my scalp after washing my hair does wonders to stop the flakes! But I was still dealing with some build-up and decided to look around for some ACV based treatments to add to my routine, knowing how well that worked in the past (but not wanting to make it myself and possibly throw off the delicate balance of my scalp). I found the Scalp Detox + Tonic and I'm not even done with my first bottle and wowwowow it is totally clearing up my scalp in a way that my product routine up until now has not done. I still use the Dermazen Calming Seborrheic Serum, which is also a game changer, and the Dermazen conditioner which is safe for dermatitis and makes my hair super soft, but I stopped using their shampoo and now I just put this Pacifica tonic on my head in the morning, rub it in, rinse it off and go. I do this almost every day and it's unbelievable how big a difference it has made in combination with my other go-tos (Aveeno lotion, Demazen Serum). I'm even able to wear my hair up with confidence, instead of trying to hide the part of my scalp that would build up with scales and flakes throughout the day! With aging, hormone changes, environmental factors, etc., I know I'll be managing my malassezia for the rest of my life -- so my dream goal is to have an easy haircare routine, and feel confident throughout the day.

I bought this because it seemed like my hair was getting greasy really quickly, and I thought it may have been shampoo buildup. So I wanted something to clear out any buildup in my hair. I have no idea if this actually worked for that, because I have no idea if that was my actual problem, but I love this stuff. It smells really good and it feels very nice on my scalp. I'm generally very wary of anything claiming to be a 'detox' because it's such a buzzword for snake oil, but I do like this product, and I will probably buy it again.

I like this. If does seem to help clean my scalp when it feels clogged up. My kids ended up stealing the brush and playing with it but it was nice while I could use it. I have a very sensitive head and thin hair but I did okay with this product.

I bought 2. This really does make your hair feel great with just a tiny bit. It’s feels like you have more hair. Run your hands through your hair and you won’t believe how great of a product as this.Bought again!

I love this all natural hair serum. It soothes my sore scalp. It works wonders.

I bought this for my husband who has extremely dry scalp leading to waxy buildup. I purchased it in combo with a tea tree scalp water scaler. He’s had it looked at by our dermatologist who confirmed it is just dry scalp and nothing more like scalp psoriasis. This stuff smells fantastic and I like the all natural ingredients especially when compared to stinky T/gel but it just didn’t work as well as I had hoped. He is constantly digging in his head with his fingernails to try and scrape the dry patches off. Now it’s definitely possible that his is just too bad or he’s not using it as much or as consistently as he needs to but he’s definitely had it long enough I would expect to see results. So I won’t be buying a second bottle after it’s gone but based on the reviews it has worked well for a significant number of others and might be beneficial for the majority of people with a less severe case. I’m just at a loss to what is going to help him.
