The box says 7+ which is based on how difficult the set is to build. The age recommendation is also based on the number of pieces too and this set has 217 pieces. That being said, I would not recommend giving this set to a child younger than 6

The components are made in Denmark, Mexico, Hungary, China, and the Czech Republic.

Does this set connect with other lego sets?

I’ve not tried it but all brand Legos should interconnect.
