Update! After writing my initial review and chalking it up as just one of those regretful purchases that didn't work out, the company sent me an email stating they believed we received a malfunctioning dvd player and offered to send a new one without requiring us to send the old one back which was great because it ended up in the trash. I waited to write this review to give my daughter time to charge it and make the long trip to my house to see if it worked like it should and thankfully, we now see why this portable dvd player has such great reviews. This one works perfectly, no skipping and no freezing the entire 2 and a half hour trip. This makes for a much less stressful trip for my daughter when she travels with my 7 month old granddaughter. This is exactly why I purchased the dvd player to begin with. Not only are we extremely satisfied with the quality and performance of this dvd player, but I must say that the seller went way above and beyond to ensure we were happy with our initial purchase. I can not express how much this is appreciated especially considering they didn't have to. I would most certainly buy from this seller again and will search them out for other items in the future to see if they sell whatever it may be that I'm looking to buy.I was so excited to buy this UEME portable dvd player for my daughter. I just knew with all the great reviews that it would be just what she needed when she loaded up my grand daughter for the two and a half hour ride to my house. Unfortunately it is not. First let me say that shipping was fast and the dvd player arrived at my daughters home just as expected with no issues. Buying a product for someone else leaves you in a bind when it comes to possible returns though. I never thought to tell her to keep all the original packaging and since it wasn't something she would be using all the time, it was days before she even tried it out. Once she did however, she called me and told me that it was worthless in the car because it kept freezing up with the slightest movement. She told me not to worry though, she thought it might work well in the house and that she would still get good use of it. Fast forward another week or so, I went there to visit them. The player hadn't been used except that one time when it would not play. I thought well maybe it was something simple and I would give it a try...as if I would have the magic touch haha. Disappointment immediately took hold, the player will not even play sitting still on the coffee table. It constantly freezes up and is in my opinion totally worthless. Perhaps they received a faulty player because from all the great reviews, I wouldn't have expected this. I would have returned it but as I said, I purchased it and had it delivered to them and they didn't keep any of the packaging nor was it even tried out for the first time for quite some time. I don't know exactly how you go about returning an item under those conditions. Next time, I intend to make sure whomever I buy for tries out the product immediately upon receiving and keeps everything just in case it needs to be returned. (Lesson learned)

Absolutely Love this item. An amazing price for an even better produCT. Large screen. My daughter is 16 months and 15 min in a car if she isn't sleeping she is anxious and ready to get out. I no longer have to work about that with this amazing device. Amazing picture quality. Easy to use. Basically ready to go upon arrival. Would prefer blue tooth hook up so she can listen to it throughout the car but it's okay. Everyone is happy.I recently had to contact the seller as the spring the pops open to place the dvd inside fell off, upon trying to replace it fell down inside the console and now is causing issues with the movies playing. I contacted the sellers they responded right away and we will have a new one within a week. we have had it since Feb. I never leave home without it.EDIT: THIS ITEM ONLY LAST 6 MONTHS. Every 6months we have had to either replace it OR throw it out. They need to give 6 month guarantee. I have 2.1 broke at 4 months not sure why, the dvd would quit spinning, so with their warranty they sent me a new one. Both that one and the other broke 2 months later. They wouldnt replace the 1st one as they already had so it was tossed out and then the 2nd they replaced and it recently went out for the 3rd time and they also would replace it. Total of 6 DVD players and all 6 lasted 4-6months tops. they are great until they just quit working, both of mine had no physical damage.

Only reason giving 4 out of 5 stars is because when I received the two units I purchased one of them came with a broken head rest holder - I've emailed seller to ask if they will replace or if I have to send everything back to get it fixed....will update with their replyOverall the DVD players are super nice! Great sound and picture! Includes all needed accessories- remote, charger, car charger, cords to plug into tv - and a head rest mount holder!! Battery seems to hold about 4-5 hours --- I used both this past weekend for a 3 hour car ride and at a crash area at a swimming event. Kept all swimmers occupied while waiting on their next race!!Only problem was one of the units had a broken head rest holder upon receiving it - again I'll post what the company has to say about fixing that problem

Please read the original review and the update. I couldn't be happier with this product and want to thank the company for being on top of things and being honorable!! They're terrific. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this product again.I think I got a returned unit. Instructions said to remove the tab from the battery pocket. There was NO tab. The battery was dead. I charged the unit itself until the green light came on, but it wouldn't work. Tried running it while plugged into a wall outlet. Wouldn't work. Very disappointed and hate being cheated by being given a unit that was probably returned by someone else. I'm returning this ASAP.UPDATE: The company read the review and sent me a new unit. It works perfectly. I continue to believe the first unit was a returned one and someone at Amazon simply re-boxed it and put it back on the shelf -- and I was the not-so-lucky customer who received a defective unit. The new unit had a remote that had the plastic tab that has to be pulled to activate the battery. The first one didn't have that. The new one had plastic pull-off overlays that the first one didn't have. The new one came wrapped in a separate plastic bag inside the air-protected bag. Not so with the first one. I opened the new unit and the screen lit up. I opened the DVD lid and there was a tag on the spindle that the original did not have. The original one would not do anything - with the remote or plugged in. This one played a DVD immediately and beautifully. The sound is good for the price, too. I'm very happy with my new player. Kudos to a company that cares, still has ethics and is honorable. Hard to find in this world these days. Don't hesitate to purchase the unit. It's an excellent one.

I couldn’t believe this seller has the kind of customer service to the top north AAA+!!! At the time we received the DVD players (i ordered 2), things look good except 1 remote control didn’t work! Then i emailed the address mentioned in the instruction to let them know about that, then within a few hours the respond came back and asisst me on how to fix, then the attemp didn’t work out, they decided to send me the new remote right away! Zoom, i receive it like a few days later (2-3 days i can’t remember exactly)! But then it was really great!! Later on, we went to vacation and somehow during the time we been there, 1 of the DVD didn’t work properly and the screen got issue, i again emailed them and let them know about the problems! I think they knew which one can be fixed which not, but they responded and tell me they will send me a New DVD player! woow!!! This is beyond belief, so quickly after i go my new DVD player! My kids are so thankful for this, we need this sometimes when going on trips or to formal places! This kind of service is even more than any of the companies i knew in North America! Normally people will try to me me a really hard time and they won’t send you a new device just like that! I couldn’t believe it and can’t thank enough! I would highly recommend this seller beyond anything else! The DVD players work great beside this story, everything was perfect, sounds are clear, my kids like this and i could now choose DVDs for them instead of those random Youtube vids that suggest some clips that you wouldn’t want the kids to see! At Last i would recommend people to buy it from this seller, since we know that buying something that is not Brand Names, (eventhough i think this is no different than those) then the service would definitely make a big different! :)

Picture and sound quality are excellent! It runs silently as well, which is a very nice change from other brands I've owned. You've got to be careful not to touch the lens when loading or removing discs; otherwise, you could affect it's ability to read the disc and get disc errors. I think this is common for most portable players. Love this player - a GREAT deal for the money.

For the price I can't complain. It's lightweight but quite stylish and everything works well although it's obvious that this is not a high end product- but that's just a fact, not a criticism. The only downside is that the internal speakers are, quite frankly, rubbish. And that shouldn't really be a surprise- you are not going to expect hi-fi quality sound at this price. However it's easily solved with a audio jacked cable from the headphone socket to the input of whatever Bluetooth remote speaker you have lying around- and who doesn't have one of those nowadays? That transforms the whole experience. My girlfriend wanted this for her workout DVDs and with the extension speaker she is in heaven!

I bought this DVD player almost months ago. I didn't use the product quite often. But I found the product quality is very good. It is convenient, stable and functionable. I mainly use the product for kids and in car. All the DVD I borrowed from library can be plaid in this machine very well. And the machine is quite stable when kids watching the movie while I was in driving. Finally, it is durable and easy to carry by kids. So it is a good product to keep kids quiet when I was in driving : )

I would like a replacement. I purchased 2 of these dvd players and have literally used them once, one works fine they other skips non stop that you can't even watch a movie.
