Good bag. Fits the Aputure 100 easily. You just take the protective packaging from the from the box and drop the whole thing in. (Shame on Aputure for not proving a carry case with the light :( Good for carrying around pretty safely and easily, but I wouldn't go tossing it around.

I love the concept behind these: Inexpensive. Simple. Allows you to recycle the thick packaging that protected your Amaran lights in transit.You pull the foam out of the box and stick it in these. Not much more too it.The bags themselves are cheap feeling. The zippers are OK. Given the price it'd not bad but I can't see these lasting very long. Maybe they will if you're careful but, if anything, they seem like they shod be twice as thick ... but that's not the point of them, it seems like.The foam you already got should be doing the protection of the lights and that foam doesn't need protection. These seem geared more toward providing a handle for your Amarans and for that, they do OK.

When I found that my Amaran 200 came in a paper box (Thanks Aputure) I immediately went out in search of an option that would survive a shoot.These things are great, I've since bought one for my 100 as well. They're well made at the seams for the weight you'll be carrying, and they fit the original foam inserts perfectly. Would a Pelican protect your lights better? Sure, but this is $15 and the foam does a good job of cushioning the light against everything but soccer-ball treatment.

My foam fit perfectly in the bag, so for little expense I was able to store my Amaran 200 XS. While it doesn't offer the protection of a hard case, it's tailor-made to fit the foam that came with the product so it's invaluable as a storage option.

Read the reviews, figured at this low price point pretty low risk. I have several of the Aputure lights of the models listed. Yes, it's just a thin skin. You put the foam inserf from the original package into it. Takes a little bit of wrangling but not too frustrating. End result, nice. As I don't take these particular lights out on shoots but use them in the studio, I keep the cases on wire shelving. Looks so much better than the cardboard original packaging. They seem to be pretty sturdy, and I would take them out on a car road trip but not on the airlines. Very clever design. Great buy if you understand these are more just "carriers" for the original foam, and provide no protection other than dust or maybe light rain on their own.
