The width of the belt is 6.25" and that of navel pad is 5.5".

Does it attache from the front

It attaches from nearly any angle. I wear the belt with the pad in the front but you can move the pad. I attach the belt in the front and then rotate the belt until the attach point is in my back.

This fits and works so well
