Product description In a nutshell: Everything fans could hope for is here: officially licensed leagues from Italy, Spain and Holland line up alongside a replica of the Premiership, as well as the French and German championships. In all, that amounts to 136 club sides and 57 national teams. Plus theres a more detailed Master League, domestic European competitions, and a comprehensive Edit Mode. The lowdown:The definitive footie series returns to defend its crown, and how it sparkles when held up to the light. Pro Evolution 5s gameplay has been enhanced to provide a more lifelike version of the beautiful game: players utilise their upper bodies more in the challenge, have more tricks at their disposal, and can now curl shots with pinpoint accuracy. This is total football. Most exciting moment:Scoring a virtual replica of Roberto Carlos legendary free-kick against France -- the one with the unbelievable swerve-- and then dancing around the living room like a lunatic.Since you ask:Thierry Henry has been playing Pro Evolution games since the first title appeared ten years ago. The great man clearly has great taste. The bottom line: Another trophy for the Pro Evo cabinet. Back to the future !
What should a game be judged on - GAMEPLAY, GAMEPLAY, GAMEPLAY !!!I have been playing PES since PES 6 (which I think is a great game), but on a whim I decided to fork out a fiver and buy PES 5 - a game I had never played before. I couldn't believe how great it is ! It's better than every other PES since and that includes PES 2013 - the players play and move like real footballers and this is as close to the real thing as you can get without putting you boots on - which you should, it's good for your health !Anyway, the graphics are great too but as I said at the beginning it's all about GAMEPLAY and this is the best by far .Buy and enjoy....

Slightly disappointed.
Was really looking forward to this as I thought Pro Evo 4 was great, but needing a few improvements. Unfortunately Konami have made the referee's too realistic as they blow for absolutely anything, making the games too stop start and very very frustrating at times. The tackling is described in the guide as being more 'challenging', but it isnt challenging at all, you just cant tackle or else you get a free kick against you.I've only been playing the game for two weeks and have given it 3 stars, though I may revisit this in a while if the gamelplay improves with experience. Fingers crossed.

more dangerous than Manhunt
Like other folks here have said, it's awfully "realistic". Like other folks have said, it's "frustrating". I personally feel "frustrating" falls short on descriptive force. I truly believe this game could drive people to commit random acts of violence. It is all very well being realistic, but it is damn near unplayable. I think I may have played about 20-30 matches now (so I've at least given it a bit of a chance to grow on me), and I can conservatively report that at least half have ended 0-0. Are me and my friends thumbless simpletons? Perish the thought, we were quite adept at Pro Evo 4 infact. So what gives?Well... For starters, the merest touch of one of your players on an opposition player results in a free kick. yup, no 50-50 challenges in this game, just foul foul foul. whole games may pass without a shot, let alone a goal, and when you do get to shoot it is woefully unpredictable. Will it dribble into the keepers waiting hands or fly 40 feet over the bar? chances are, both are likely. will it go in? Doubtful, and when it finally does? You're so fed up you no longer care.I tried selling it to a friend of mine, but he demanded to try it first, and needless to say, I'm now stuck with it.Parents: Don't worry about your kids playing violent, gory games. Worry about kids who play this. It will send even the most laidback peace loving person absolutely potty. If they must play, lock away anything sharp. Please.

Excellent game
This game serves as a replacement for my PES 3 and the subtle improvements have enhanced the experience. An old game now but great value.
