The lights add so much fun to an already pretty epic Lego set. That said, it can get a little frustrating adding all the lights. I had a couple of issues with things coming apart and having to rebuild little sections.Watch for pinching wires in between bricks! It will cause them to break circuit if they are pinched too much.The wires will be seen in spots, you will need to find a permanent spot to connect them all, and trying to find hiding space for the connectors isn’t great. It’s totally worth it though if you are using this as a show piece.

We installed after building the set and found it easier than while building the set. Absolutely stunning!!!

I took a chance on this brand of light kit for Rivendell and was not disappointed. Though it takes fine motor skills and patience the finished effect elevates the set significantly. I took off one star because if you use the battery pack the batteries wear out extremely quickly. Instead, I found a 5 volt USB plug and used that with an extension cord instead. This was my first light kit and now I’m sold on them. The lights themselves are really bright. I chose this kit specifically because I liked the color lights they used in different spots more than some of the other sets. Just remember to be patient and take your time.

This was time consuming and sometimes frustrating to install, but it looks amazing when done. Most of it wasn't that difficult other than the candles in the bottom floor, those weren't fun because everything is so hard to get to. I used a combination of the PDF instructions and the YouTube videos to get through it.

this set definitely has its pros and cons. it ended up being amazing, but took about 6 hours to put together. also, biggest issue, 4 pieces that came with it were faulty, see below.pros:1. the lights came very well packaged.2. I appreciate the inclusion of the tweezers with the set3. looked gorgeous in the endcons:1. I didn't like that the instruction manual has to be found online via QR code. it's somewhat annoying to have to scroll through a PDF on your phone.2. there is a set of 4 small clear pieces for the flame lights in the center section. they are supposed to have holes to hold the small orange flames, however they did not. thankfully, I was able to swap them out with 4 of the same pieces from the Lego set itself that were properly made. if those pieces hadn't been in the set, I wouldn't have been able to finish the light kit.3. the assembly of adding the lights to the finished Lego set is extremely time consuming, and requires dextrous hands and good eyes. I definitely scratched up a few pieces in removing them with the tweezers.That said, the end result is beautiful! please fix the faulty pieces!

After the huge purchase of Rivendell, it was a great gift for the next holiday to add the light set. The ambiance it creates is breathtaking

Absolutely love these lights for the Rivendell Lego set. Yes, some areas were a bit tedious and the wires are small, but take your time and you will love the lights when completed.
