Wonderful pillow - has relieved my shoulders and numb wrists and hands
This is a wonderful pillow. I used to wake with numbness in my wrists and fingers because of squashing my shoulders sleeping on my side with an ordinary pillow. That has totally disappeared since I started using the Sissel Plus. I find it most comfortable if I use it at a slight angle with the front corner pulled down a little. It does take a few nights to get used to but it's really worth persevering.

YOUR NECK'S FRIEND
We've used the wonderful Sissel Neck Pillows for 30 years, never go anywhere without them. A HELPFUL HINT: When lying on your side, it's more comfortable if you tilt the pillow down a bit in front and up a bit behind you, to avoid the back of the pillow digging into your shoulder. We were shown this when we first bought the pillows from a Chiropractic College, and it does help people who complain that lying on their sides isn't very comfortable.

Best therapeutic pillow you can buy.
This is the second Sissel pillow I have bought, first one lasted 10 years! It much more expensive than many on the market, but this is the best in my opinion,. Its high quality, well designed and effective. What you need to bear in mind is that it's totally different from whatever you are sleeping on now, so takes some getting used too. Chances are the first few nights you will think you will never get used to it, my advice is to persevere because it is worth it. Make sure you pull it well into your shoulder so your neck is being supported by the raised ridge and your head is on the flat of the pillow. You are more than likely using it due to neck problems/pain, so it is a bit uncomfortable while the muscles adjust, but it has helped me enormously with my stiff neck, I no longer wake up in discomfort or find it difficult to turn my head in the mornings.

Why a price different between Medium and Large?
Why is the Medium size more than the large. I bought the large and it was too deep, but are not happy paying the extra. I do love is pillow though - I’ve had them for years and recommend to others as I am a physiotherapist.Come on sellers let’s have a fair deal!

This pillow is amazing. I ordered it to replace my current one and I have never used this brand before. I went by reviews and that the shape is the same as old one. I've slept on the pillow for 4 nights and they have been the best nights sleep so far. My head feels lighter, no pressure on the back. My neck is supported and cushioned. I suffer from lower back pains and in these four nights I haven't woken up in the night because of pain. The pillow feels softer than my previous one but when you put your head on it, the feel is totally different. Comes in a hygiene bag so once removed you can't return for a refund. The pillow doesn't smell at all compared to other orthopaedic foam pillows.

Tried to return, but eventually kept it
After 3 nights i found my chin was uncomfortably rubbing against the raised edge so i tried to return it to seller. Alas, if the seal has been broken it's unreturnable (unlike other pillows i've bought). I persevered & am glad i did as being able to tuck my shoulder beneath the lead edge which supports neck, is very satisfying to experience and has the advantage of not having to 'plump up' after turning over, which i used to do several times/night with my loose fillings pillow; it retains its shape which constantly offers neck support. After a few more nights i discovered that my (lower-straighter) position on the bed was main factor in aligning my head so that the raised edge was correctly supporting my neck.I'm currently turning a fair bit during the night so at first i was finding after turning, my head became wrongly positioned resulting in sore neck. However, after settling on a stable position on the bed i find if i turn i'm still ok. It's taken more than a few night to get used to it, about 7-10 nights, but now i'm ok with the pillow & enjoy sleeping on it; though i don't know if i'll stick with it long term, probably switch to conventional from time to time.

Awful - why did they have to change the shape and the material???
I was really disappointed by this pillow. I bought it to replace my beloved 10 year old Sissel pillow, which is getting a bit sad, but they have changed both the shape and the foam, and it didn't suit me at all. The ridge at the front is very steeply upright, and there is too big a drop to the main part of the pillow to that instead of support, it tipped my head over a cliff edge. The main pillow is thinner than the old one, and the foam is also very firm. The old one has a more gradual lip at the front and the foam is a bit softer, so it cradled my head and neck.In the end, I've used this pillow as a cushion to sit on as it gave such terrible neck ache. I'm 5'4" and have relatively narrow shoulders, so I suppose it might suit someone taller. Such a pity as the old one was amazing.
