Yes , thats it. Its ideal if your cables are not too large. Cheapest way to do it.

Dear Customer, The transfer switch will work perfectly in a motor home. This is simply a change over switch between one electrical supply and a completely separate one. In a domestic dwelling it transfers between the mains electricity entering the house and a generator that would be used during a power outage. This is a requirement if you want to use a generator to power your house during an interruption of electricity supply. The idea is that in a power cut you must use the change over switch ESR 125 to connect the Fuses/Trip Switches to the generator. Therefore when the generator is in use the electricity from the generator will not back feed into the mains electric supply and will be confined to the house only. This safeguards Electricity Workers repairing the lines from electric shock from the generator, which of course would put them at risk. In your motorhome, treat the Invertor the same as a generator because it supplies electricity from a different source that is your 12 volt batteries which are completely separate from the 240 volt supply (when the motorhome is hooked up to mains electricity). Your inverter is only 1000 watt capacity. The change over switch can carry a current of up to 30,000 watts. Q: Is there room inside the enclosure so that a 1P32A generator input plug can be mounted on the enclosure itself, or does it have to be cable entry?

There isn't enough room in the enclosure for the plug. It can be mounted directly under it or remove the switch from this enclosure and mount it on the din rail of your consumer unit ,then run a cable outside to the plug. If unsure seek professional advice. I am not a professional.
