Q: What do the different c's stand for?

If you visit http://www.brooksengland.com/en_us/saddles/cambium.html you'll see that the c-15, 17, and 19 are for different types of riding. E.g., the c-15 is for more "sporty" riding, while the c-19 is for more upright riding.

Q: I'm considering a c19, but i don't know if it's wide enough for me. my sit bones measure 6" (155mm). has anyone w/ wider sit bones found this seat ok?

It was too narrow for me and where am I sit bones hit the seat it was very hard. I swapped it for the original leather model I have been very happy as it’s a little wider

Q: Is there a good cushion cover for this seat? Puts too much pressure on my sit bones.

Don’t put a cover on this seat, that completely defeats the purpose. If you’re not a serious rider, return this seat and get a gel seat.

Q: Orded 2: why is 1 seat so tacky and the other sheen and smoothe?

Mine arrived as it looked in the amazon photos. It has a light texture and not "tacky".
