Needed this to pull a vacuum on an AC system.Did it in no time.

OMT Red Body Pump 4.5 cfm 220 volt.
I bought the red body pump as when viewing the grey body pump Amazon show a warning that it is a frequently returned item. The red body pump was only £10 more. So far so good, but I have given 4-stars as I can't yet comment on long term durability. Several reviews mention the pump smoking from the oil cap filter when in use. In my experience so far, it only happens if the connections between the pump and the system being vacuumed are not airtight. This is apparently normal with these type of pumps and is due to oil misting when air passes through the oil reservoir. Sure enough, I have found that to be the case, and can recreate it by running the pump with an inlet cap loose. Once the cap is tightened down to an airtight seal, the misting stops. The pump is quiet in use and runs a lot cooler than I had expected according to other reviews. So far it seems a decent little pump for the price, although it is obviously not of professional quality, but the price reflects that.
