I had NEVER heard about this, seen an ad, read an article…I only found out about it via samples in my Dermatologist’s office. THIS LOTION WILL CHANGE YOUR FACE.I worked in media for 25 years and endorsed products/procedures for skin care. I have tried them ALL, and had the luck to use many that would have been WAY out of my price range. Absolutely. Nothing. Compares to this. I genuinely think about stockpiling, or fear one day the word will get out, and the price will increase tenfold. This lotion does everything you could ever want. I have used this for roughly 2 years and have reversed and eliminated 30 years of sun damage. This evens tone, heals blemishes, smooths texture, hydrates, firms, fades discoloration, fades/plumps wrinkles. IT REALLY DOES.I have a lifelong obsession with skin products: even if you included non-invasive skin TREATMENTS, this is the best.

I remember using AmLactin years ago when I was in my twenties or thirties to get rid of keratosis pilaris (KP) on my arms. The lotion worked like a charm on my "chicken skin". So, much so I never felt the need to buy AmLactin again until menopause dried the hell out of my skin. Now, I am addicted to AmLactin!!! When you're young and still have estrogen your skin regularly sheds on its own, however when your estrogen supply starts to dry up during perimenopause then plummets during menopause (waaah!!!) your outer layer of skin stays put way too long.The 12% lactic acid in this lotion helps get rid of that layer leaving you with smooth skin in just a day or so. Seriously, the first night I put it on my legs, the next morning my skin was soft to the touch and it also looked much smoother to boot. Now, I have more of sheen to my skin that I haven't seen in a while. Thanks to Amlactin and vigorous workout I am determined to have the best 56 year-old legs around!Bonus tip: I've also used this on my face to help accelerate exfoliation. I add just enough to dampen the skin keeping it away from the corners of my eyes and mouth. A bit of AmLactin in conjunction with Retin A several nights a week, and glycolic acid pads a couple times a month makes a world of difference in my skin!

Absolutely love this lotion. I am certainly a bit of a lotion fanatic and have been on a journey to try new lotions just for a nice change here and there. This has resulted in me becoming more and more picky overtime.Tried this and here are my thoughts :Texture - glides right on. If you’re looking for something more thicker, I’d maybe opt out of this one.Smell - nothing. I note comments about the bad smell and am at a loss on that one because this has no smell and is similar to other good lotions I have used where there isn’t a bad smell but maybe just a more ‘natural’ one which is an indicator of a scent - free lotion (which is better for your skin).Absorption - excellent. Always a problem if it takes a while to dry down as you can’t wear your clothes right away. But not an issue here.Effectiveness - leaves skin feeling hydrated and looking good.Price point - I think it’s a tad expensive for the amount you get. Lotions get used up pretty fast as in my experience as you don’t use it sparingly so it’s always better to have bigger containers for a good price point. Can also think of other very effective brands for more quantity in that same price. Taking off a star for that!Long term effect - TBD and may come back to report on that.

You only need a few drops on your hands or your face. This is NOT like ordinary lotion! Exfoliating and highly moisturizing with no scent! I first moisturize my face using Amazon Basics Skin Cream (a great product!) and then apply a few drops of AmLactin afterwards a few times a week to exfoliate. Just make sure to use SPF to avoid sunburn. I also use the lotion on areas of my scalp that are very dry. I've used AmLactin's thick RapidRelief 15% lactic acid cream for several years and this is superior in my experience. The lotion spreads effortlessly and provides greater exfoliation, even though it's 12% and not 15% lactic acid. The 15% cream leaves a film on my skin unlike the 12% lotion.

It’s not a moisturizing as some of my other lotions, but I buy this to even out my skin tone and it works wonders for that. I start to notice some changes after about two weeks of using everyday. I love this stuff and purchase it in store often. Make sure you wear sunscreen wearing in the summer!

I have mixed feelings about this product. I do think it has helped my dry skin. However, I thought I was going crazy because I kept smelling ammonia. I even made an appointment with my doctor. Well...I just put some of the lotion on and notice that the smell was on my hands and arms. I had my husband smell as well - still thinking I am crazy. He smelled it too. I washed my hands and the smell went away!!! Of course, I decided to Google the main ingredient - ammonium lactate. Research confirms that it can indeed smell like ammonia! Supposedly it can have a light ammonia smell, but is pretty strong on me. At least I'm not crazy or having major health issues. Thank goodness!!

This stuff is such an amazing game changer! I have had KP most of my life and nothing has worked. Until I started using this. The look and feel of my skin is night and day. I highly recommend it.

My holy grail! I had seen this lotion being recommended by multiple derms for strawberry skin. I was a bit skeptical and also worried because I can have sensitive skin. Ive dealt with textured skin all my life and lately developed strawberry skin. This lotion has literally gotten rid of like 95% of the texture!
