this still ranks among my favorite kits of all time
After getting dozens of MG kits under my belt, including the Sazabi and ZZ Ver. Ka, this still ranks among my favorite kits of all time. I built this guy shortly after having built the Hi Nu (my very first Ver Ka kit), which I thought would be incredible. But that kit has a fatal flaw in the backpack (a story for another time) that made me really concerned about spending the money on another Ver Ka kit. The Sinanju Stein is the exact opposite of that. Fun and easy to pose. Great articulation for such a massive kit. Stellar details and gimmicks. Waterslide decals - gotta' love 'em. And all that wrapped up in one of the best looking kits ever made. This boxier version of the Sinanju is such a mean looking machine. The only thing I don't much care for is how darn heavy the gun is. He, like the Hi Nu, Sazabi, and Nu gundam, just cannot hold its rifle. Katoki needs to scale back his guns. If he did, I might actually pose his kits with them. Other than that, the color scheme won't knock your socks off, but the color separation, as subtle as it is, is all over this kit. Super fun, big build.I bought this kit for more like $60 or a little less. $70 may be pushing it. But either way, this is a seriously cool kit, and I don't regret the purchase for a minute.

A wondrous example of Gunpla engineering
I had no idea this Mobile suit was this stunning. Towering of most other Master grade models, this one is a site to behold and a lot of fun to assemble. I went the extra mile and added chrome highlights in all the vent systems and thrusters. The hydraulics in the rear legs have been chromed as well . There is so much versatility in how you could display this set, you just can't go wrong. The only gripe, and i mean only, is this uses the older style of master grade hands with the individually articulated fingers, making his grip strength very weak. If you have an action base then that will help a lot with additional poses. I give this set an A-.

Fantastic kit. It's big
Fantastic kit. It's big, well articulated and well balanced. Colors look good great and are separated well. The only issue with this kit is the unbelievable size of the gun doesn't allow the wrist to support it. It's fine if you leave it in the downward position seen in the product picture though.I have seen some complaints about the backpack, but from my experience they are mostly unfounded. It has an insane amount of articulation and moves quite a bit during posing. If you pose it last you will be able to put it pretty much wherever you want it and it will stay. This kit comes with A LOT of decals, but I would only consider about 10 of them necessary (though I did put all of them on and they look great. If you haven't built a gundam model kit before, you will be able to build this HOWEVER; I suggest starting with a cheaper or smaller kit to make sure you want to invest time and money into a kit like this.Overall I would highly recommend this kit. It's everything that I feel a gundam kit should be. It is big, it is cool, and it looks powerful.

Huge and detailed and gorgeous, but not quite worth the price-tag
This guy stands about 10 inches tall, counting the exhaust fairings on the backpack. I'd like to give this kit 5 stars, but my feelings are too mixed (mostly due to high cost and limited mobility) to go that far. I'd post pictures of my build, but I did custom paints and Amazon doesn't like seeing photos with different colors than the stock item.Pros:Incredible detail, solid joints (the skirt plates are a little lose, but that’s fixable). The only point where I had trouble fitting things together was with the eyepiece. It took some extra-careful cutting to get it to fit properly to the lower-face piece. Also, the eye-sticker is garbage; I threw that away and just used a couple different color Sharpies to color the eyes and was very satisfied with that. This guy draws a striking profile from every angle.Cons:Possibly too much detail. Meaning, there are so many extra pieces attached that they get in the way of mobility. The waist has very, very little flexibility, which made me sad to discover. The legs have okay mobility (though the feet are a bit clunky), the arms are a bit cluttered. The head can turn, but can’t really tilt up or down. Conversely, the backpack elements have ton of mobility, so that’s pretty cool. For the price, you’re basically paying a “status” tax for getting a VerKa kit, because there isn’t really much difference between this and a regular $40 MG kit. You get an extra weapon, a billion water-slide decals, and it’s a little bigger. The kit also comes with a TON of pieces you don’t need (because this kit shares a lot of the same structure with the red Sinanju).Other stuff:The rifle is a good match for the mecha (sometimes these kits don’t have great pairings, possibly to force you to buy weapon kits?). The forearm beam-saber setup is pretty cool as well. The bazooka isn't a great match, since there really isn’t room for it to rest on the shoulder (backpack is in the way) or under the arm (shoulder armor is in the way). And it just doesn’t match the streamlined-square style. However, I was okay with this because I just painted it to match my Jesta, with which it matches perfectly. So, while I didn’t think it fit this guy, I didn’t mind having it in the kit.

One of the best master grades I have had the pleasure of building
This kit is an experience. It is chalk full of detail, even in parts you'll never see. It is also HUGE. It is a lot taller than most other MG kits. This kit comes with the new master grade hands, which are fully pose-able and a pre-built (similar to PG hands)It also come with a large amount of waterslide decals, which I love. I think I spent 8 or 9 hours just putting all of them on.This kit is full of detail and you can tell a lot of love was put into designing it. The only issues I've had are that the rifle is too heavy for the arm so the Sinanju cannot really hold the rifle up.
