I'm a huge fan of wooden puzzles and while most of mine are from Artifact, I have a few from Hartmaze. When I found the coupon for this one, I bought it just because I enjoyed the picture.The puzzle is fairly small but has a ton of color and the picture itself is just a fun, whimsical scene. It has a fairly low number of pieces (around 70) and nothing in the picture makes it difficult to put together at all. It took me less than 20 minutes, though the younger the puzzler, the more time it would take.The wooden pieces were sturdy, though I didn't throw them about. As long as you are careful, these should last a few lifetimes. The puzzle comes in a small blue cardboard box and the pieces are contained inside a ziplock bag which I appreciate.Overall, not a challenging puzzle, but a fun one none-the-less. If you have not made the plunge into wooden puzzles, this would be a good one to start with. Fairly inexpensive, not that many pieces, but it will give you the idea of what to expect with wooden puzzles. My one con is that I really miss the real "whimsy" pieces that Artifact has. Considering the uniqueness of the puzzle pieces already, throwing in a few pieces shaped like a dragon or a moon should not be that difficult. The price difference between the two brands is quite different and many people may want to start their collection with this Hartmaze just to make sure that they want to invest in wooden puzzles.

The advertising on this puzzle says it's good for children 4 and up. We have a four-year-old who loves puzzles, so we bought this for her. My husband and I found the puzzle a little challenging - there is not a child age 4 in the world who would enjoy this. Also, it is made of wood, so if your four-year-old dumps the box on the table because she is excited to see her new puzzle, it likely will break (one of the pieces did). So to sum: it breaks easily and is far far too advanced for a small child. I gave it two stars for being pretty and for being decent for a teen, I guess. I advise you to buy something else.

The pieces are nice and at the price this is a really good value for a laser cut puzzle. In general, I like laser cut puzzles much better than "paper" puzzles and that goes for this puzzle as well. On the flip side the puzzle is very simple for an adult. The piece fit is a little loose, and other brands of wooden puzzles (Artifact, Liberty) have a tighter fit, but are also more expensive. I am looking forward to seeing larger puzzles (3-500 pieces) from this manufacturer, and hope they will continue to improve the quality over time.

This is my third Hartman puzzle. Because I loved the others so much, I purchased this one as a gift. Because the pieces are wood, they don't bend or break. the colors are vivid and the pieces are not your normal pieces either! They are the coolest shapes! Where you would start with the border on a regular puzzle, that doesn't necessarily work with these puzzles because of the awesome puzzle pieces. They may be small but they pack a HUGE punch!

The idea is good, but the execution is poor. The pieces fit together too loosely. Moreover, two pieces were broken. The box itself was damaged, and it’s tape was broken. Therefore, I doubt it was new, and I Paid for a new puzzle. It also has a very strong chemical smell. I gifted three puzzles from this brand to out of town family members. I hope their puzzles aren’t broken. I will be returning mine and will instruct them to do the same if need be.

The Hartmaze Wooden Puzzles are beautiful. This is a puzzle that you will want to put together many times. It's great fun for the family. The price is great. Top quality that will last a life time.

My almost 5 year old granddaughter and I put this puzzle together. The large schematic picture which is included was quite helpful; my granddaughter was able to more quickly figure out the placement, which made it much more fun for her. It's also a fun picture and shape.

This is a really nice little puzzle. Lots of family fun.
