This IS the chair you're looking for!
It was a toss up between this chair and the REI low beach chair. The adjustable back really sets this chair apart from the REI chair. I like a low chair and the campfire, I play guitar, and I have abit of a bad lower back. So this chair really fit the bill on a 3 counts. I sat i a lot of camp chairs, This chair is without a doubt the most comfortable I 've used. For me, the lack of arms is why I chose it over the recliner, I also felt this would save space in the car. However , the straps do act as quasi armrests for sure. I like the way they included the drink holder without armrests. the holder is nice, it does hang, it has your drink sit on the ground.Pros-fully adjustable back that is very intuitive and easy.-lumbar cushion-Straps do not interfere with my full sized acoustic guitar-lightweight and strong, well built. There is not really that much to the chair it is mostly webbing and cordura, not much framing, so its lighter than most collasibles we have. all the straps are reinforced and the ends coated in vinyl, doubled over and double stitched at all the attachment points. There rear pocket is gusseted and a nice drawstring. Great features, really.-drink holder works well, does look stable but really does work. I think it I add a fom ccoozy in there it will stabilize it more.Cons.............. crickets.............tree frogs.....................anyone???

After lots of looking bought two. Glad I did!
We wanted lounge chairs that were sturdy, adjustable and light. The camping chairs with foot slings on them are trouble getting out because the framwork for those chairs either doesn't come off or is a chore and getting out with the foot slings out front can be difficult. The "anti-gravity chairs" are very nice, we have two, BUT they are bulky and heavy. These are low to the ground, adjust to slopes (my back yard has a pretty steep drop-off, so these were tested immediately. At 6'2" I have to sort of kneel and roll into and out of the chair, which is fine since the issue is less than tripping over framework as above mentioned. Once in, the lumbar support is great, the easily adjustable back helps find the right angle, and change it a bit later if necessary. I found these really set up well for an afternoon of reading or working on the tablet reviewing the days' photos. GCI has some very inventive engineers on their staff who I believe wander around out of doors so they understand. They are becoming one of my top "go-to" brands when I identify a new need.

Great chair Happy with It
Used my chairs for the first time at a outdoor concert. The area for which I held my tickets is very slopping and the chairs did a swell job. I have a bad back and liked the padded back area. This particular venue does not allow for outside food or beverages but I do like the pockets and drink holders. I actually chose this particular chair because someone else made mention in a review that they use it in their home because they have back problems. Yep, tried it, I set one up in front of my TV and sit in it with a ice pack resting in the back area. I know people are not buying this chair for this reason. I am pleased with my purchase and I bought two.

Perfect for outdoor concerts or the beach
If you are going to an outdoor concert, particularly one with hillsides, this is exactly the chair you need. It adjusts so that you can sit flat, even on a hillside. The back is adjustable so that you can lean back or sit more upright (which is also useful as you can adjust your position based on the slope you are sitting one). It is light, is really easy to transport as you just have to pull one strap for it to fold up. The straps kind of function like arms, but they are definitely not the same as having arms on a chair, so buy it with that in mind. Comes with a drink holder which is really nice (no on likes spilling their drink). In short, this is the perfect chair for venues where you are not allowed to have a higher chair, for outdoor events, hillside sitting, or the beach.

Great chair
I bought this chair so I could sit at the beach and read without getting too sandy. I like that it is low-profile, has lumbar support, does not have a bar across the thighs, and is relatively light. It is comfortable and I like that the recline is adjustable. The base is also adjustable so you can sit on a hill. However, there is not padding at the top of the back to rest my head so it makes reclining less comfortable than sitting. I wish it was easier to carry (the shoulder strap isn't that great of an option so I just fold it in half and carry it by the side frame). All in all a good chair that has a permanent spot in my trunk.

We had general admission tickets sitting on the lawn and the chairs were very comfortable with the back of the chair sitting a b
Bought these for a concert at the Gorge Amphitheater in George, Washington and they worked perfectly. We had general admission tickets sitting on the lawn and the chairs were very comfortable with the back of the chair sitting a bit lower than the front to make the seat nicely level on a downward sloping lawn. We are not petite people, either, but the chairs felt sturdy and solid. Also really liked the drink holder since everything on the grass would eventually start creeping down the hill as the night progressed (including us if we weren't in the chairs.) These chairs don't have arm rests, but I didn't miss it. They were light and easy to throw over your shoulder with a padded strap. Even our 12 year old daughter hauled it herself with no complaints. Great chairs!

Okay Chair
This chair is okay, I don't love it - what would make it great - five stars, is if the back were higher where you rest your head - I mean the chair IS to rest in -you have to scoot your butt down to get your head against the top, then I wake up the next day with a bruised back of the head, think of the way your neck feels after getting your hair washed at the hairdresser! Oh well, next time, it's just comfy enough not to return the big old thing!

OK - but large to carry - and it doesn't compact down much
It's pretty decent, but it is MUCH larger to carry than soft-sided seats, and this thing is designed for hills that slope DOWN - which makes sense for most people - but my particular use requires me to use it with my back to the downhill - and the straps don't really adjust for that. But 95% or more of people will use this a venues that are flat or when they are facing downhill. It's a minor quibble, but I find this a pain to carry with me because it is much larger than other seats - and when folded it is still large. It is nice and useful, however, if you're going to be sitting on very wet ground, because this design gets you up of the ground.

What an amazing chair
What can I say about this chair other that WOW! I was pretty apprehensive the first time I sat in this 6 pound beauty, but after settling in and sitting back you can really feel how securely built the whole chair is. You can even rest your arms/elbows on the side straps!I took this with me hiking for 8-days at Algonquin Park and I must say it's quite nice being able to SIT in your tent while you're waiting for the rain to pass, rather that having to lie down or sit ackwardly on a sleeping bag. It's also nice being able to sit down where you want and eat your food or sit by the fire.Pros:-Lightweight-No set-up required - just open it up and sit-No bars along the seat bottom so your butt doesn't hurt or fall asleep-Lots of places to attach it to your backpack-Good padding on the back-Mesh pocket with drawstring on the backside of the chair-legs fold down so it can be used on a bench as a stadium seatCons:-A little easy to tip over sideways if you're sitting and lean over to grab something, but nothing majorI 100% recommend this chair to any hiking out there, its well worth the weight-budget.

Not a good experience with ordering this product
Chair is alright, definitely thought you'd be able to adjust it instead of just being able to sit on it facing downhill and not being able to have your back to the downhill. Way bigger than I would imagined, so kind of awkward to carry around however it is pretty light. Downsides to the company, I ordered 2 and only received one and the invoice that came with it notes that 2 should've been within the box. The price dropped by over 50% in the week that I ordered, and when I asked for the price difference to be changed due to the one not coming and the inconvenience they said no.. You'd think they would appreciate their customers more.

Perfect for Photography
Excellent chair for sitting low while photographing waterfowl. I've tried several chairs over the years and this one is perfect, it is lightweight to carry, folds up and sets up quick. Great back support and the adjustment strap works excellent to adjust back angle without having to get out of the chair.

Great chair for festivals
Bought to use for an outdoor music festival. It's roomy and comfy and easily folds and unfolds for quick movement and set up when moving from stage to stage. It's also very light weight. Seems like it will be durable for many years still. Also like how easy it is to adjust to sit on various angles of hills.
