Nice case for short duration (<8 hr) trips
I used this travel case to transport a nasal spray that needs to stay refrigerated. I took it on a two hour plane flight in my carry on luggage. Including the drive to the airport, arriving early for security and check-in, and driving to my destination after landing, the entire trip took about six hours and the medication was still cool on arrival. I also took it on a car trip. In that case, the trip took eight hours and outside temperatures were in the 90s, so I placed the case inside a larger insulated cooler with additional ice packs, so it wasn't a true test of the case's ability to stay cool for long durations. The manufacturer recommends that you don't rely on it for longer than 6 - 8 hours. My suggestions for improvements are the following:-- The straps on the inside of the case are custom-sized for insulin supplies. They did not fit around my nasa spray bottle, so I had to just lay it loose inside the case and be careful opening it so it didn't fall out. Some sort of adjustable velcro stray arrangement would be more flexible.-- The ice packs are very small, but even so, when they are frozen, they put pressure on the items in the center of the case. My nasal spray bottle had to be placed along the spine of the case to fit.The exterior case has additional pockets that could be used for more ice packs, although that might exacerbate the space issue just discussed. The additional packs might extend the duration of time that the medication could be kept cool.Overall, this is a handy case and met my needs for short trips carrying medication.

Great kit, would recommend to everyone.
This insulin cold pack-kit stays cold for a very long time. My freezers temp is roughly 4 degrees Fahrenheit. I experimented with it and took it out around 3PM and the ambient temperature was around 75 degrees Fahrenheit. From 3PM to 8PM the temperature had increased from 4 deg. F to 64 deg. F (60 degrees F total) - roughly 11 degrees lower than the ambient air temp. Thats a12 degree increase per hour. I bought a Govee bluetooth thermometer to keep in the insulin kit permanently. It's a great little bluetooth thermometer. You can set a minimum temp alarm and a max alarm on the app. I am in a southern state that gets into the hundreds in the spring & summer. I don't trust the temp strip that it came with. Plus, every time you open it up to check the temp, it's getting warmed up just a bit. I bought two extra cold packs that I'm going to put in the kit for a total of four. Add a little fiberglass inbetween the pack and case and it should stay gold longer. Here's a graph of the temperature increase.

Wow! Just . . . WOW!
Facts: 1) Purchased to transport cat meds that require refrigeration; 2) placed whole inner "cold insulation liner" and ice packs in freezer night before going to fetch said meds; 3) was 97 degrees out on day I went to get meds; 4) had two appointments on way to pharmacy and totally forgot to take the cooler inside with me during same, cooler remained in closed tight car on sunny day in 97 degree temps, inside car much warmer; 5) three hours later when returned to car, cooler was still cold inside almost like out of freezer; 6) fetched medication and drove home; 7) five and 1/2 hours later when arriving home, inside of cooler was still easily refrigerator temp or below and ice packs were still half frozen. Medicine was slightly COOLER than when picked up from pharmacy.HUGELY impressed. Previous trip, pharmacy gave me the med in a sack with an ice pack significantly larger than the ones in this cooler. Went dashing straight home in an air-conditioned car on a 109-degree day, and the meds were barely cool by the time we made it home (25-minute trip). What an improvement with the Parateck Cooler!! The only down side is that this is truly designed for carrying insulin bottles, and the bottle of cat med would just barely fit; thankfully, there is some flexibility to the cooler, so was able to cram it inside and still zip closed to keep the cool from escaping. For insulin, I'd think this thing would be fantastic.

Took this on a cross-country flight from Oregon to Florida ...
Took this on a cross-country flight from Oregon to Florida and it worked for the most part and was able to keep the medicine cold until I could put it into a refrigerator at the hotel. However, my medicine could go up to 24 hours without refrigeration before it started to degrade so it wasn't critical to keep ice cold. Normally I would guess if the included ice packs are completely frozen when inserted it would keep your meds refrigerator cold for 4-5 hours if left sitting out on a counter in a 70 degree room. Stuck in a hot car would not last that long. With that said, on our return flight from Florida to Oregon I packed it into my check-in luggage and when I got home the ice packs still had a bit of freeze left in them, and it had been nearly 13 hours. Keeping it in the insulated bowels of the aircraft I'm sure helped this a lot.

Modification for Forteo
Cooler is very attractive and compact. I modified it slightly to hold my Forteo pen. I removed the center stitching and the stitching on the short side. This allows for a large area, underneath which the pen can rest. I put two self-adhesive Velcro "dots" in place to hold the material firmly over the pen.You DON'T want to use the case for Forteo unmodified: the partitions are too tight to insert the pen and you might pull off the cap or the priming barrel when removing it.UPDATED 10/15/17I froze the gel packs ovenight, placed them in the cooler, then put a digital thermometer probe in the place where medicine goes. The temperature rose gradually to room temp. in six hours. Since I'm going to be on a plane for 12 hours and since the cooler is too small to accept an ice bag, it won't work for my intentions. Should work great for shorter trips.
