Q: Has anyone tried using 2 of these at the same time one for each foot? I have one like it but think two could save time on areas too small power equip.

You are going to hurt yourself if you try to use more than 1 plus you're not going to save any time because you will be on the ground. Proper use of this device requires using your hands on both handles to push down, pull up, and steady your body.

Q: Are the cores tapered or straight? Sometimes straight pipe cores will clog when tapered cores clear out more easily in clay soil.

I purchased this in 2018 and they are tapered. My micrometer says that the bottom (entrance) is 1/2" in diameter and the top (exit) is 3/32" larger. You can see the taper in the picture. I just dug out some frozen soil and it was quite easy to clear the tubes with a stick when I was done.

Q: If you have been using it for more than one season, what is your opinion on the quality of this tool?

This garden tool did not work for the Florida st. Augustine sod. The plugs keep getting jammed in the extrusion holes and really provide very little relief to aeriating the lawn.

Q: Can i get an exact diameter on the plugs it makes? i'm trying to compare to the hound dog. bigger holes let more air in and plugs might eject easier.

Don't waste your time.... I bought this, used it twice and the stems bent making it mostly useless. It no longer creates plugs. Just reams holes in the ground that close up after a good rain, which is pointless.
