Silicone Pancake Mold Upgrade 2 pcs 14 cavity Flippin Fantastic Pancake Maker with 4 Shaped

I saw this item in an "As Seen on TV Store" and immediately thought of using it for filled pancakes (then purchased here). The product didn't come with instructions (minus 1 star), so my first batch of pancakes were a partial fail - the batter stuck to the silicon and had to be pushed out after flipping and looked uneven around the edges. After reading online instructions on use, I sprayed my griddle with cooking spray, placed the silicone mold, and sprayed that completely. Then I continued to make the pancakes on the griddle. They came out perfectly.Now, is this item really necessary - or would I use - for regular pancakes. Not at all. However, I also like making filled pancakes - usually with ricotta - and this item worked really well for that. I use on a griddle set to 350 degrees.1. Use just enough batter to cover the bottom of the mold.2. Place the filling, then spread and flatten a bit.3. Add more batter to cover the filling.4. After 6-8 minutes or so, 'test' to see if ready to flip - first slide a spatula underneath to completely loosen from pan, then lift up slightly on a tab and see if pancake keeps shape or if it starts sinking through middle. Wait until firm enough to flip.5. Flip, then cook about two minutes more (depends on thickness of batter and pancake).You should really use a griddle for this. I have subsequently watched some video reviews of items like this and a pan typically lifts the tabs enough that batter leaks through the bottom. On my griddle, I can fit two molds at a time too.(BTW, on my filled pancakes, I go a further step of deep frying them for a minute or two. Not so healthy, but oh so delicious).

I read the negative reviews of this product, and thought “That would never happen to me!” But, some of the bad reviews do have some truth. Id say one star is very dramatic, because the pancakes were made and tasted fine, but I’d be skeptical of the 5 star reviews. It was going really great until I flipped it. The bottoms sort of merged into one “super pancake” but it was fine and they were very easy to just break apart. The shapes were cute, and intact.Just some important notes:•The silicone does get hot, so i recommend flipping with an oven mit•Spray your pan and the red thing because when I made the shapes, they stuck a little (pictured) but when i sprayed the whole thing and made the circles, they came out fine.•Use a pan where the red thing fits on the whole bottom, even with a little space, or else it will leak.

This product came just in time! Not only did I use this for pancakes but I shaped cupcakes, eggs and anything I could! Love this product and will purchase again

I find it hard to clean. The batter sticks to the mold. It is very hard to remove totally. No matter how much I clean, there is always something left stuck. I think it might be better to use on a special occasion when one needs to do a large number of pancakes. For everyday use, it is too much.

Picture demonstrates 2 sets...1 Round Shaped and 1 Multi-shaped. Received 2 Round Shaped! (See Item# on Pic and Yes, I opened the boxes and they both were round!) I bought these as a gift for my 10yr old neice who loves to make pancakes. False advertising or BAD MISTAKE. Unfortunately too late to return!!!

No where near as easy as it claims to be. It the pan fits the center well the flaps flip inward on your pancake batter and if your pan is any bigger the flaps get really hot. This product caused a couple burns. Not recommended in the least. Also cleaning was not as easy as it was supposed to be!

My grandkids love pancakes and I thought this would be a perfect little surprise gift. It works great and they love helping their mom make pancakes in the cute shapes.
