Works great for our chickens
We are past year two of using these for our chicken coop. Safer than a red heat bulb and does not produce light to disrupt our chickens nature cycle.

The quite heat/update
I have a restless reptile friend that has a problem tossing and turnig all night making a lot of noise and has become grouchy during the day. I use a red heat light at night ,so when i switched it out with this non light emitting light bulb, she now sleeps through the night.I would recommend getting those cage protecter things that encase the bulb if its inside the terreriumUPDATE 4/2/20I wasn't joking when I said this thing was hot. This is a safety reminder not a complaint.I was working in my skinks terrarium and happened to put the light fixture with the ceramic bulb in it, face down on a wooden shelf. It was on a timer and comes on at 7. I work from 3 to 10, and when I got home I was greater by a faint smoke detector alarm going off. I thought it wasn't me so I took my time. Approaching the door , the alarm got louder, and when I opened the door, the top half of my entire house was filled with smoke. At the time I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. After 40 min. Including climbing up into my attic, I finally realized it was that. Now I'm an idiot so again, this is not a bash on the product. It works great. Just be careful where you set it.

Works better than heat bulb
We use this in our bearded dragon's terrarium. Two seem to do the trick and don't keep her up with a bright light. I can get her to at least 80 degrees with just two and that keeps her up and about in the winter time.

Good heat but one went out
I enjoy using CHEs but in this two pack one gave out after i used it for around 36 hours which is a little frustrating, the second one has been working really well though

Works Great
I've used these for many years, but most notable uses was to warm a tortoise house in the winter using a temperature controller, and same to protect our well piping. Kept the temperature about 20-25 degrees above outdoor air temperature. So I'll keep using them.

Perfect gift for my grandson’s bearded dragon
Purchased this for my grandson’s bearded dragon. He was using a regular A lamp to provide heat, but his dragon seemed to shy away from the intense light. Works great!

Doing it's job
So far working well. Ive been using it nightly 8-10 hours and have not had to replace the bulb yet. Ive been using it for gentle glare and draft free heat for my birds covered cage at night. Ive have it connected to a heat sensor probe to maintain even heat at the level of their perch because I like too keep the rest of the house cold at night. Warms up the covered cage gently from 60 to 70 degrees in 5-10 minute. The cover is key. We'll see how long the bulb lasts. So far so good.

need a pilot lamp
You cannot tell by looking at these things if they are on or off. And if you touch it to see if it is on you get a second degree burn. It needs a little red LED in the center that glows when the ceramic heat lamp is on. A pilot light so to speak.
