PWR+ 180W 135W Charger for Acer Predator Helios 300 Triton 500 Nitro 5 VX 15 V15 V17 7 Gaming Laptop ADP-135KB T PA-1131-16

For the price I was expecting a cheaply made adapter that worked but was going to fail within a year or so. What I actually got in the box was a far superior power adapter.Pros:-Well built and reinforced connector. The right angle plug into the laptop is actually much beefier than in the product picture. I have no worries about it failing there.-Extra long cord. The standard 3 prong cord looks to be the standard 6 feet but the other half also appears to be that length which is significantly longer than the cord it replaced.-Velcro wraps. I know its becoming more commonplace but it has those cord wraps to keep everything tidy. For this price, its a nice little plus.Cons:-The only minor one is that the blue light indicating the brick is getting power is brighter than the sun. Nothing a little black tape or simply flipping it over can't fix but holy hell is it bright.I'd buy another one of these in a heartbeat and would easily recommend it.

I bought this as a back up for my acer aspire v5-571p-6815 because my other power cord was dying and officially bit a couple weeks ago. This one is horrible. Seemed to work okay when I first got it and was using it part time 2 months ago. Then when it was pushed in all the way it would constantly connect and disconnect. My computer would be just sitting on a surface and I would be nowhere near it and it would constantly connect and disconnect over and over and over. Now I have to pull it out almost all the way but not too far it falls out and has to be rotated at just the right angle...and sometimes still won't work. Please don't waste your money on this piece of garbage.

One of these days the makers of these are going to realize that the weak link of this is the adapter is the way the wire is strain relieved. As if everyone didn't know it, the wire breaks right at the junction of the strain relief to the jack that plugs into the computer. I think I have bought 5 or 6 of these over the last several years to replace the ones that came with the computer. They all worked great to begin with but all failed in the exact same place. I used to try to repair them, but now I replace it every time I get a flaky error where the power drops out. The shipping time is just about short enough to get the new one in before the old one fails completely.

Never thought I'd be forced to buy a new charger for a laptop, but the vacuum sucked up and ultimately destroyed the old one.. so here it goes:Gonna' be honest and say I bought this (reluctantly) from Pwr+. I say reluctantly for the following reasons:- Give anyone a choice and they will avoid products without reviews.- You know there are at least 86 different similar products to choose from.- Up until about 6 years ago, I worked at a video game store for 5 years and remember that third party products are 'hit or miss' (with a strong lean to 'miss')- Never thought it would get here in time because shipping stated it would take up to 14 daysGonna' tell you after the order:- Let me know by email confirmation when the order was processed and shippedYou need to know that once the package arrived:- Down in Madison, WI is where it came from and I was surprised about how quickly it showed up (no more than 3-4 days)

I bought this charger about two months ago to replace my old charger that was on the blink. The 14 feet length is great and makes it more accessible to use in my house, at school, etc.The only problem with the charger is that it is now working on and off. It is working more often than not, but I have to keep the cord in a certain position to make sure that it continues to charge my laptop. This often causes it to pulse between charging and not charging, which can be annoying at times. However, it does work better than my old charger and the length is a plus. I just wish it would have done its job for more than two months...UPDATE: The charger is now barely even working. I have to have the cord in a certain position at all times to get it to charge, which means that I cannot use my laptop while it is charging now. This is very inconvenient because my battery doesn't last that long to begin with. I am disappointed and will not be purchasing from this company again, NOR would I recommend purchasing this product to anyone.

I waited a while to give a proper review. My original charger was intermittently charging my Acer Aspire V laptop, so I decided to buy this item, since the description claimed it would fit. When I received the Pwr+® 65W Extra Long 14 Ft Laptop-Charger, it was even looser. I figured I had a problem with my dc jack. So I brought my laptop to a repair shop and they diagnosed the issue in a few minutes. My dc jack was absolutely fine, my original charger was damaged and the Pwr+® 65W Extra Long 14 Ft Laptop-Charger was junk. The folks at the computer repair shop set me up with a universal charger and my laptop charges like new. Pwr+® 65W Extra Long 14 Ft Laptop-Charger = waste of money.Update 11/28/16: I'm revising my review to 3 stars after receiving a replacement at no cost. This one works perfectly. Unfortunately, I had already bought a universal charger at my local computer repair store. I'll keep this charger for possible future use. I just wish I received a working charger from the get-go... It would have saved me a lot of aggravation and would have wasted less of my time and money.

This was ordered as a last minute replacement for my Lenovo laptop. We had no idea if the battery died or if the charger was out and it turned out to be the charger. What makes this an amazing purchase is this:1) The length of the cord! This allows me to keep it plugged into my surge protector and still get to sit on my bed without worrying about frying my charger again.2) The light on the charger itself. This is a great indicator to show that you're receiving power and that the charger is working.I have no complaints. Prompt shipping and no damages to the package. Will definitely order from again!
