Best starter kit with a jump wire box
I've found among all those starter kits, this one comes really handy because of the jump wires box that contains plain jump wires(instead of the flex ones with pins). When the wiring gets busy on the breadboard, those tiny jump wires are your best friends. E.g. I was able to prototype a playable 15-button PS controller on a breadboard with those plain wires.Of course you can make those wires yourself, then you will need extra tools and not everyone has them at home.

Great tutorial Kit
I love the kit full of hardware that let you get started right away and learn to program the Pico without having to buy external peripherals to do anything. It's a great investment for anyone looking to get into the world of microcontrollers. My only concern is that the only tutorial on the website for the Pico is in MicroPython and as someone who prefers C/C++ programming due to greater efficiency, I think an online C++ tutorial to go with this kit would be very handy.

parts & decent tutorials
Provided the components to breadboard the fairly straightforward tutorials provided (download) with grandchildren., The introduction of a microcontroller in PICO provides some interesting opportunities for expanding their comprehension of the complexities in designing and coding systems

Perfect starter kit for Raspberry Pi Pico!
The media could not be loaded. I am very happy with the contents of this starter kit. It also comes with a good list of tutorials listed as well. I have already worked through some of the initial tutorials using this kit and its online tutorial. I strongly recommend this kit to anyone wanting to get initiated into embedded systems with Raspberry Pi Pico.I also like that the components ship in a plastic storage box with adjustable separators. Overall, this kit comes at a sweet price with so many components worth tens of hours of fun and learning!

A really nice kit with online docs.
There's a lot of junk out there, but the kits from SunFounder are first-class. We're working through the online guides and supporting materials found on Youtube. Arduino has a good 10-year head start on the Pico so it's a little hard to find good information specifically about the Pico. The online guides provided on docs.sunfounder.com are accurate and easy to follow.

The video lessons make this kit worth buying.
I am please with my purchase, but it is the associated lessons that are mentioned in the product description that make this kit worth buying. You can learn a lot about how to use a microcontroller with the items in the kit and the associated lessons. The product descriptions specifically names Paul McWhorter as the creator of the lessons and they are available on the SunFounder web site for this product and on YouTube. The description says there are 27 lessons - it is now up to 80.The tutorials use MicroPython, which means you need to know Python. If you don't know Python, he has a beginners tutorial series on it.If you scroll down far enough on this product page, you will see "Curriculum Link kepler-kit.rtfd.io".But it really is not a link - it is just text. You actually need to search the web for "kepler-kit.rtfd.io" in order to find them.Other vendors sell similar items and some have more sensors than this one.And their tutorials are not really meant for a pure beginnerEven the default tutorials from SunFounder for this kit are not really beginner friendly. For the most part, they show diagrams how to hook up circuits and a little bit of unexplained code. You put things together, load the code and watch it work.It does not really explain how everything works.I would have preferred a few less resistors and push-button switches for another sensor or two.But the lesson more than make up for that. What is the point of having more sensors if you don't know how to use them and there are nolessons that teach you how to really use them?

I like it
This is packed full of components to use for learning and the tutorial online is very detailed. The included box is nice to hold all the parts in and they come packaged nice and neat with some in anti static bags when needed. I believe this a good value for the price for someone looking for a Pico kit to play with and learn
