Amazing Multi Platform Arcade Stick!
First Amazon review I ever write so...First off, I had issues with this stick, but truth be told it was all user error. Once I realized what I was doing wrong, it worked perfectly!1. The instructions do not mention it but when you download a firmware update, it is a .rar file. You will need to extract it using WinRAR and use the update program. Updating is extremely easy and quick (remember to plug into a 2.0 USB on a PC while holding select and start buttons on the stick).2. I ran into issues using the stick on Steam. Simple fix: go into Steam controller settings and make sure the Xbox, PS4, etc. are checked (I run the stick in XDirect mode so Xbox checkbox is all I needed). After the above 2 points stick works flawless on Xbox One S and PC using Steam. Haven’t tried it on my PS4 or Switch yet but I shouldn’t have any issues (firmware is the current version). The stick amazing. I have an early 2010s MadCatz SFIV stick that cost me $200 and this stick is very comparable to it. They not feel great to me. For the price, this is a great stick to get. I’d you don’t want to pay $200+ for a stick, this is a great option. Not sure how it does in competitive play, but should be fine I think. Also, this stick is multi platform, so. I worries on what system to get it for (my MadCatz is Xbow360/PC only, use a converter for PS4/Xbox One S play).Customization is awesome too. I just ordered Sanwa buttons/joystick to replace the stock ones, but that’s not to say stock is bad. I’ve been playing fighting games for years so I prefer it. I’ve read other reviews also stating the stock components are great too, so don’t worry too much about that.Stick is sturdy and does not feel cheap at all. One thing to note: if you don’t mind the color scheme, I’d recommend the F500 Elite. It comes with Sanwa buttons/joystick and the price difference isn’t a lot. I spent $80 on the Sanwa buttons/joystick but only because I wanted a specific color scheme.Overall this is a great stick to get. I’m sure the $200 plus sticks are amazing as well, but for casual to some competitive play, I believe this stick is perfect. I bought this for my son but will also get myself one, the multi platform is amazing (converters cost $40 each). For the price, this is a great buy.

Great entry level arcade stick
I consider myself a fighting game enthusiast but have always played on controllers or special fighting game controllers like the mad catz street fighter 4 fight pad. I think this is a great stick for anyone who wants to try out fighting sticks. It has a nice solid, heavy build with rubber pads on the bottom so it doesn't slide around in my lap. It also comes with rubber feet you can install if you want it to have a little extra height and friction if you play on a table.I have no basis of comparison for the stock parts used for the lever and buttons but to me they feel great, albeit the buttons feel a little spongey. During gameplay I don't notice. It comes with a square gate preinstalled but includes an octagonal gate if you want to swap it out. There are lots of videos on youtube showing the process of opening up the stick which look very easy but I haven't done it myself. I feel confident that I could swap out everything with sanwa parts if I wanted. Mayflash also provides art templates for adobe illustrator/photoshop if you want to make custom art.It is a great universal stick, although if you want to play it on PS4 you will need to actually plug a PS4 controller into the arcade stick, then the arcade stick into the PS4. I tested it and it works. I think the same must be done for Xbox One. I have not tested on PS5 or Xbox Series X. I play primarily on PC which it works great, but I can't get it to work on Mac and I don't think playing on a Mac is possible. The biggest downside I could say about the stick is the acrylic faceplate covering the entire top of the stick. This is used to hold down the customizable art insert. As a new player I was definitely moving my hands/wrists a lot more because I didn't have proper technique to control the stick. As a result I was rubbing my wrists a lot on the acrylic which caused rashes/chaffing. Now I use gloves with gel padding in the wrist meant for protecting against carpal tunnel while typing. Any fingerless glove would work too. With gloves my experience is much better to lower the friction on my wrist, but also my technique got better so I'm not rubbing my wrists as much.Still, for the price I paid of $75, it is a great introductory stick. I definitely could upgrade with sanwa parts later on, but for the price of the sanwa parts I might want to just buy a more premium stick. Or if you don't mind spending about $40 more, just buy the Mayflash F500 Elite which is identical but comes with sanwa parts already installed.Pro:- Low price- Solid and Heavy to prevent sliding- Universal compatibility- Customizable art- Compatible with Sanwa parts- Lots of tutorial videos online to open the stickCons:- Certain consoles will require you to plug a real controller into the stick (PS4/Xbox One)- Stock lever and buttons could feel cheap to experienced fight stick users, but should be fine for new players- No buttons for L3/R3/Left Stick/Right Stick (not a real problem for fighting games, just training mode)- Acrylic top face plate can cause chaffing
