Rocket league FTW
This controller is good, but it doesn't come with a long USB wire with itself, so that's a miss.It takes getting a little used-to because of buttons on the back that act as 'Y'. Touch controllers have been mostly useless for me but I haven't played many games with this controller. The left touch controller probably needs some more work done because I found it quite difficult to use to navigate menus.

Awesome controller
Awesome controller that can be a bit fiddly to set up and sort out. But for people who like to mess around with configs it's great! Don't want to go back to an Xbox controller any more! I also don't use my mouse and keyboard much anymore. Sofa gaming! Woo!

The right touchpad doesn't come close to being useful as a right thumbstick...
I've got mixed feelings about the Steam Controller. I'm gonna give it three stars owing to how reliably it works and the level of customisation available. It works VERY well for certain game types, but for anything that requires a second joystick on the right, I've just found it lacking. It's clearly very high tech and comfortable to use but I really question this right thumbstick omission. I've mostly gone back to using my Xbox One controller for PC as a result for first person shooter games etc. I do suspect that if you put some work into learning it and messing with the settings you might get something that works, but really, it's horrible for any third or first person game. Even with the gyroscope on, you're way better using mouse and keyboard. One nice surprise was that it works surprisingly well for Elite Dangerous.I bought mine mostly to combat nasty RSI and for that, it does work very well. It can be used to control Windows like a standard mouse, if it wasn't for that, it'd be getting a lower mark owing to that poor design choice.I think if you're willing to put time and effort into customising the controls for all your games, you'll get a lot out of this. I do use it for several games still and it's WAY more reliable that Xbox's abysmal wireless remote control, but that's because it works as advertised, unlike the Xbox One for PC wireless dongle which I've had nothing but problems with.

They are comfortable in your hands
I haven't owned a TV since the 90s, but being able to browse and reshape what every key does. I've not had it long, but I'm sure that soon after a little practice it will become a 5. They are comfortable in your hands, light and easy to get used to the basics

If you are on the fence about buying the Steam Controller like I was
I am presently surprised at how well designed this next gen controller is. If you are on the fence about buying the Steam Controller like I was, I recommend you take the plunge and give it a go.The learning curve is there, but it's no nowhere near as bad as I had come to expect from reading about it online. The software is daunting, but community profiles are helping me to get started. It may not be the best solution for every game you play, but I think this controller is worth owning.

Whatever you read about this controller, it is not compatible with a Mac. Returned and received refund.

Worst and loudest dpad I have ever heard in my life
The dpad feels awful, slippy and unresponsive. Perhaps you could get used to it, but why bother? It's also incredibly loud, just like the strange back buttons. I'm not kidding here, it was so loud that I used the thumbsticks instead. The price is also a complete rip off.
