No , ours is in the door way between the living room and kitchen. Our dogs and us, along with visitors and family pass through them tons of times daily. The paint has not chipped off or rubbed off any at all.

I have a small courtyard that i would like to put this in front of my double doors on the outside... can theses be use on the outside?
