Lovely delicate tea
I used to buy golden darjeeling but you cannot get this anymore by twinnings so have gone back to drinking just the darjeeling. Its nice and light without an overpowering taste. I drink it black a d leave the bag in and get three cups out of one bag. I find it refreshing and no aftertaste. Its hard to get in the shops so its great you can just get it on here and is resonably priced.

320 Assam teabags for £14 What a bargain!
I do like a good cup of tea and recently have moved away from the mass market brands, such as the one with the monkeys and the one with the little men from Yorkshire who live in a tea pot to some of the more upmarket brands. Not that I'm being snobby or anything its just that sometimes the quality can be a bit variable. Yes, I know that Twinning is part of Associated British Foods, the same company that owns British Sugar and, bizarrely, Primark, but it comes over as being more sophisticated and better quality than most of the others. I have tried quite a few of the others too ranging from the cheapo supermarket own labels to some of the more exclusive products that come in fancy boxes with quirky names. Of all those I have tried, I have settled on Twinings Assam as my absolute favourite morning tea, and by that I mean tea that you drink in a cup with a splash of milk when you wake up rather than the green teas or herbal infusions you might have in the evening or after a meal to cleanse your palate. This Assam tea is the business. It is strong tasting without being overpowering and is malty and rich. And buying it in this format of 4 x 80 bag boxes = 320 tea bags for £14 works out at less than 4.4p per cup which is actually LESS than you would pay for an inferior product. And each box contains foil sealed inner packages too so the tea will not go off too quickly. The sell by date on the boxes I purchased were over a year from the date of purchase too which means that as long as I average more than 0.9 cups per day (which I am sure I will) then they will not have gone off before I finish the boxes. This is an excellent, and cheap, way to buy and excellent tea. As long as you have sufficient storage space this is a winner.

Awful smell, awful taste!!
I normally rate Twinnings highly because the quality is usually great and can relax with a decent drew. Not this time.I bought them when they were massively reduced and knew I was taking a chance but definitely wasted my money! The smell in the box is very strong and smokey.... What they say on the box I suppose. But the taste is vile. As soon as you add water to these, the smell becomes over powering and no longer smells smokey but more like burnt wood. Imagine that smell you get on your clothes and in your hair after you have been by a bonfire for a while. It's like that but so much stronger.Must admit, I only had one sip because the smell was so bad. If the smell wasn't so strong, I may have been able to have a second sip but it did taste very unusual and not at all pleasant. Almost like burnt hotdogs maybe? Hard to put my finger on it.Not buying anything and definitely wasted my 94p!

Delicious Tea
Best ever tea I've tasted in years. I tried it first some years ago and thought it a bit odd. But after the 3rd cup I've never had any other tea. Lovely with either just milk, black with honey (good for hangover) or just black on it's own as I have it these days.
