I am sorry, I don't know where they were made. If you are thinking of buying them I would advise you that they go rusty after being outside for awhile and I eventually threw them away.

Is there a 'holder' to put the candle in or is the inside a blank base? Many thanks

There is no holder. It has a flat base. Hope this helps.

Are these meant to be covered in rust? I know they are meant to look aged, but mine just arrived solid rust rather than grey aged effect

Mine were rusted as well but I quite liked that they looked authentic and old. They were bought as a present, to go outside on the decking, so they might have rusted eventually anyway.

Is the height including the ring on top

No the height of 32cm for the large Lantern is not including the ring on top. Hope this helps!
