Not Plug and Play AT ALL, Extra Money and SKILL Needed To Make This Usable
I spoke at length with the engineer at Sea Flo before making this purchase, and at face value it seemed like the perfect pump for my need in using it with a 12 volt battery to give me running water when there is none. When I got the pump, it came with a very short wire, maybe 5 inches long, so that one would have to hire an electrician to lengthen the wire with 16 gauge wire so that it could even reach my 12 volt battery, the connection would have to be "heat shrunk", and in the instruction booklet it states that one must install a fuse (not included) "in line". Adding several feet of 16 gauge wire and putting a fuse in line all with heat shrinking is nothing I could do, and so I had to hire an electrician to do this for me. This drove the price of this pump way out of range for me. It doesn't state anywhere in the item "write-up" that the electric wire from the pump is so short, nor needing the addition of an inline fuse, and nothing about heat shrinking any of these alterations. SeaFlo really goofed on this one as I won't recommend this pump to anyone, due to the extra cost to me, to anyone. It would have been very easy for the company to make the electrical connection much longer with an inline fuse, charge more, and then it would have been plug and play as one assumes without the needed directions/diagrams that is not there on how to assemble, not even a diagram of where the extra parts go, no directions on how to assemble or what each part that is in a plastic bag is used for and how to asssemble it for use with the pump. In addition there is no diagram showing where parts should be placed, and there is a list of additional parts that are needed and not included with the pump package. Very poorly done, Seaflo, and you have misjudged your customers in the day of "'preparedness", and the number of women and men who have little to no knowledge of pumps, assembly or external parts and where they are placed. You need to use a different person to write your manuals for the "lay" person who needs this kind of pump and one who has no prior knowledge of pumps, their parts, how they work, and how to assemble and use them. Pump may be great once it works, but I never would have purchased it if I had known about all the additional costs and expertise needed to just assemble it for use.

Supplies water to my house.
I use this in conjunction with a higher powered pump. It works terrific. I can only get about 3 gallons per minute out of it. But that’s enough to run two showers at the same time. I have it in line with a large pump that uses a lot of electric electricity which comes on if I turn on a garden hose or something. The only thing I don’t understand is why they don’t include one more half inch threaded fitting. I think you should have the choice to use slip on tubing or threaded fitting. You have to buy extra threaded fitting which you can purchase, but you have to get four of them.

Good pump
Pump is great but went through all three fittings to find on that didn't leak. All good now.Flow good, quieter than old pump.Thank you

Reliable!
I've moved thousands of gallons of water with these pumps. Consider adding a larger in coming filter.

Never shuts off
Shouldn’t have attempt setting the bypass and won’t even bother trying and then have them blame me for screwing it up.Put it in my motorhome as a “upgrade” and luckily didn’t bother going through unmounting my old one and mounting this one first. No leaks or air intakes (exact same fittings and hoses used as on the current pump) and this thing would never shut off. Swapped the wires and hoses back to my current one and it works exactly as it should.I wish I had better advice for what higher volume pump they should try, but I don’t. I’ve tried so many different brands and had issues with all of them. Meanwhile, my old 3gpm pump just keeps on working.

Updated Review
After further review I am liking this pump more and more. It took a bit to adjust it for my system and but I got it working as advertized. I love the flow and water pressures it delivers throughout my Class A MH.this pump does not have a check valve, so! if you are an RV or Motorhome owner be aware. Un regulated City water pressure can slowly back feed and pass through the pump and will fill your Fresh Water Tank and overflow it. I installed a valve on the outlet hose and use a pressure reducer at my fill connection. I haven't had any issues since, and I would recommend this pump. JFK, I own a 2005 Winnebago Adventurer 35A, on W24 chassis. Hope this helps

Not your typical review
I originally got this pump for use with my propane camping water heater. I had high hopes in using it this spring. Unfortunately things didn’t work out. I’m not saying it’s totally this pump’s fault, I feel it’s a combination of user error as well as product instructions or lack there of. For one, something like this product should come with better wiring instructions as well as providing different options of wiring types included with the pump. Why? It is because I tried hard wiring this to a home outlet plug, not realizing this pump is for 12 v applications, in other words, for connections to car type batteries. Maybe with clearer instructions and warnings about the types of connections, I wouldn’t have blown through so many fuses and most likely blew the pump internals. To sum it up, when I realized my mistake and hooked this up to a 12 v power source, it wouldn’t even work/prime the pump. In all likelihood I fried the internals. My advice, make sure you realize what you’re getting and research on how to put it all together or it’s money wasted. I give it an average of 3 stars for the potential of the pump but minus 2 for the lack of examples, hardware and lack of precise usage.
