I wasn't sure at first. But they definitely be helping out. I collected the sample between myself and my half sister mailed it as instructed and within a few days got the results online. I was informed when the sample was received as well. The report was professional and showed the PhD personnel that did the test plus the genetic markers. Would recommend 5/5. They do tell you that it's not usable in court though

My sister and I did the sibling test as my sister has suspected her whole life that she was a half sibling. This test came back and said we were 15 times more likely to be half siblings than full siblings. And that was it. No detailed breakdown other than an indecipherable table of 20 markers. Seriously, we couldn't make sense of it and their website wasn't any help. What we were expecting was a detailed report showing that thousands of DNA points were tested and stated the exact percentage of DNA that we shared. This report just had us scratching our heads.So we did another DNA test with Ancestory .com and it came back that we are full siblings with a DNA match of 49% (half siblings would be 25%) along with a detailed trait comparison, ancestral geographic lineage and all sorts of detailed information, including a 100% match to our mother and matches to other known relatives who were already in the database. You don't get anything remotely like that with PaternityLab.Further, you can't download your raw DNA data from PaternityLab, but you can do that with Ancestory. com for free. From there you can upload to other DNA sites (GENmatch for example) for further genealogical matching, which we did (also for free) and it also confirmed that we are full siblings.So the headline here is that PaternityLab was FLAT OUT WRONG that we were half siblings and what they provide information wise is useless.And btw, PaternityLab doesn't even perform the DNA testing themselves. They outsource it to somebody else. So, apparently, all these guys are is a storefront cashing in on the increased interest/demand for genealogy DNA testing.Don't waste your money. Go with a reputable DNA tester like Ancestory or 23andMe.

My first time doing it I sent it out in the mail instead of fedex.. they talked to me the whole time then sent me a new one out cause never made it to them. As soon as they got my second one they sent email to let me know they are checking it.. then two days later I had my results, such a loving feeling to get the results and they are what your looking for. So Thankful!!

The results came back quickly. The numbers were a bit confusing but the explanation gave me what I needed.
