Excellent and educational
Excellent for about age 9 -12. Even as a parent, very engaging. Loved his No 1 Detective Agency books and this does not disappoint. Simply but well told, and suspenseful for the adventure lover. Educational as it seeks to engage the young reader in our global problem of habitat destruction and its consequences. But none-the-less is a message of hope.

An easy reading book
Like most of Alexander McCall Smith's books, this makes for good decent reading. Good for reading on a rainy evening over a glass or two of wine.

Nice read with an important message
A light hearted upbeat tale of doing good in Africa.

Enjoyable read.
Not up to McCall Smiths usual standards, although it was still enjoyable.

Ideal Fiction For Children.
I bought this book as a present for a child. It contains more than one story/book. I am very familiar with it, so I know it will be a firm favourite. If you like Ronald Dahl's books and Michael Morpurgo's books then you will enjoy Alexander McCall Smith's books for children.

Enjoyable
This book is easy to rlead and very enjoyable; the well-known style of this author. The tales are catchy and you do not want to put the book down if you can help it.
