Tendelux DI20 IR Illuminator | Long Range Infrared Flood Light for Security Camera (w/Power Adapter)

I was having problems with spiders and insects screwing up the motion detection at night. Several people on Reddit suggested a separate IR Illuminator and turn the IR off on the camera. I made a wooden bracket to mount the Tendelux on the soffit of my garage. It worked really well and was easy to run the wires.I picked this illuminator because it looks good and the distance it was suppose to cover. It definitely exceeded my expectations. The picture showing the coverage area at night was amazing. It lights up the whole side yard and most of my neighbor's yard!The only slight negative comment would be that the 12VDC chord from the power adapter is really short. I probably should have ordered one of the extension cable, but extension chords worked out okay!

Nice little units, the pigtail power connections are a little short, so if it’s pole mounted it’s kind of messy to connect to the equally short power adapter connecter. I’ll have to splice and replace the cable when I get time.Overall, nice wide angle short to medium distance IR floodlight, vast improvement if you’ve got a cheap home grade CCTV camera, I would have preferred the black finish to blend in more covertly/discretely, however that’s only available in the USA, not Canada.I did notice some IR LEDs are significantly brighter than others, leading me to suspect they will burn out quicker than others, time will tell. (See my video and images)Kudos to their customer support, they did responded quickly.

these supplemental infrared lights will add more visibility to many cctv cameras that use 850nm wavelength night vision.this one model DI20 uses 25 watts of power with the included 12 volt 2 amp wall adapter. I use this with my reolink cameras 810A 410 e1 and duo2 and they all greatly improve night vision visibility. there is also less motion blur for fast moving objects like vehicles and that improves the ai smart detection accuracy.you might have a bright spot or overexposure with closer objects depending on what cameras your using this light with. the infrared beam width is 90 degree coverage so you may want or need at least two to not have any shadows on one side. remember this is a light source after all and with light there are shadows.Ive been using three of these for over a year outdoors in summer heat and freezing winters and never had any problems so far. its made from a cast aluminum housing and power coated white. its compact size and much smaller and looks better compared to other designs with a bigger housing. it does get warm all around but that is normal for 20 watts of leds.the included mount is not very good as the threads on the wing nut to tighten the ball joint is not very good and always cross thread and bind. the good thing is on the backside of the light housing the internal threads are female 1/4-20 unf a common size many outdoor camera mounts and can be replaced.

NOTHING is missed by my cameras at night, now. This item “lights up” the area so well and brilliantly, there is nothing that goes unnoticed. Quality if light produced and seen by the cameras is amazing and effective. The unit is sturdy and reliable. Works perfectly and is easy to install. Point it in the general direction and it will illuminate over 100’ away. Incredible product. Your camera’s night vision fails by comparison and the addition of this product will make your camera perform like it was one that costs significantly more. Will be getting a second one for the areas on the other side of the building and the lot. Finally, something designed well and works as ut should. Hard to find something that delivers this well.
