If your pet is not eating, you could add it to a small amount of water or broth (an amount they will consume in one sitting). If you have to, you can administer directly to the mouth, but if you're going to do it that way, we would suggest measuring the dose into a separate syringe and mixing with some food or water before giving it to your pet. For an average sized cat (10 lbs), the bottle would last for about 118 days. If your pet weighs less, it will last longer, if their weight is greater than 10 lbs, it will last for a less time.
