A+ Awesome product at a great price
I bought 4 of these for my new backup solution. They were all Helium-filled rebranded (white label) HGST drives. Very quiet and so far, reliable. 2 of them I shucked and put into my Synology NAS. The other 2 are used for backing up the NAS. Much cheaper than buying bare drives, and just as good. The case is nice and could be easily re-purposed for another drive. Power supply, main board and connectors all appear to be good quality. Well done WD!

Poor QC on product leads to defective units sold and blamed customers
The WD 10TB deal was posted on Amazon and I bought it. But I left stored for over 6 months before I opened it and found there was only 500 GB in the HD. I sought Amazon help and WD help. It ended up that I have to return to WD for replacement. After 2 weeks, finally WD responded negatively that I altered the HD and committed a fraud and confiscated the unit. I have no techno skill to alter the HD. I was just a user and tried to download my files and photos in it. The icon showed only 500 GB and when I looked at the info for the HD, it also showed 500 GB. I followed their suggestion to try to test it with other computers and ran a diagnosis. It all showed that the unit is defective. WD is not a trustworthy company any more. First, it produced defective unit and showed poor QC mechanism. Secondly, they did not explain what and how it was altered. And I have no reason to alter it and I have no skill or knowledge to alter it. Thirdly, they took the defective unit and kept it away as my evidence so I cannot sue them. Fourthly, they did not offer help at all even when I have sent them pictures and diagnosis results. Their support service is very poor. Don't buy any WD from now on.

False Advertising
Good condition. Its a hardrive and works fine. However, it is not a 10tb as the info states its a 9, but in their defense even the box from the manufacturer states its a 10. and so does best buy. so oh well. Just don't understand how software takes up a whole tb when basic software on a laptop don't take that much space...

Doesn't work
From the very start, this product will not connect to a tv at all. I hopk it up to my computer just fine, load up files on it no problem, but when I connect it to my tv (I have tried multiple TVs, it doesn't work at all. I've tried reformatting it to every format available and nothing will work.

This isn't 10tb
I just opened the box. Plugged it in which all went fine but I'm about to fill it up to back up files and it's not 10tb. It's 9tb, I have 10tb worth of stuff and now I gotta buy another one. This isn't to the seller. The seller did fine, the product itself and the company miss advertised and I wasn't happy about that.
