Have a few of these in the house already and one of them kept false triggering. Decided after battery swaps etc to bin it and replaced with this like for like especially as these costs almost nothing and one wants the peace of mind safety. No problems sinceAs was like for like use the same mount so took 20 seconds to fit. Test every now and then and no false alarms

This little smoke alarm packs a punch! I was immediately impressed by its compact size and how discreetly it fits into my home. The installation was a breeze, and I opted for adhesive velcro strips instead of drilling holes.One of the first things I noticed was the powerful alarm. Trust me, it's loud enough to wake even the deepest sleeper! While the battery life isn't quite a year as advertised (I've had to replace them after about 4 months), it's a small price to pay for peace of mind.Interestingly, the alarm has gone off a couple of times due to hairspray and once seemingly at random. Although these weren't fire-related incidents, it's reassuring to know that the alarm is sensitive and responsive.Overall, the FireAngel SB1-R is an affordable and reliable smoke alarm that's easy to install and blends seamlessly into any home.

I picked up the FireAngel SB1-R smoke alarms after getting tired of my old detectors constantly startling me every time I made toast. I liked the idea of them being toast proof and figured it was worth a shot.Installation was a breeze since they come with everything you need right in the box. I mounted a couple in my home and immediately felt a lot more at ease knowing I had reliable protection. One thing I really like is the replaceable battery feature. It’s nice knowing I won't have to deal with that annoying chirping sound when the battery dies. Instead, I can just swap it out whenever I need to, which is a plus in my book.What really sold me was the test/silence button. The first time I tested it, I felt such relief when it activated without a hitch. It also gives me peace of mind knowing I can silence it easily if there’s a false alarm. Plus, I haven’t had a single nuisance alert from the kitchen since I installed them.Overall, I’m really happy with these smoke alarms. They’re effective, straightforward, and really do serve their purpose well. At the price point for a 2-pack, I think it’s a solid investment in safety without breaking the bank. It's small and tidy, which I like. The plate comes off the back easily for fixing to a surface. The battery was new, wrapped in cellophane and worked at first test: it's LOUD, no one could sleep through this, not even a one-brain-cell orange tabby cat. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with this smoke detector. The only thing I can see that I would improve is the length of the wires that connect the battery; because they're very thin wires and not very robust, and had to be bent at such an acute angle I was concerned that they would break when pressing the connected battery into the back. If the wires were slightly longer and more robust I would give this a 5 star review. I would give it 6 stars if it came with a one-brain-cell orange tabby cat.EDIT It was fine for 3 days and then it started sounding without reason. Had to take the battery out. :(
